LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Kaibrienne Richins, known as KB, secured her spot in the Top 20 of the competition. In a departure from previous performances, KB opted to debut her original song on the show for the very first time.

Reflecting on her journey in her segment, KB disclosed her background in wrestling and football during her upbringing, emphasizing how those experiences had shaped her for this pivotal moment. "All that's prepared me for this moment right here," KB affirmed, highlighting her readiness to take on the challenge ahead.

Despite her accomplishments, some fans criticized Richins, alleging that her tears appeared fake, leading to frustration and disappointment them. They felt that this perceived insincerity detracted from the authenticity of her performances, leaving them disheartened and weary of her behavior.

"Ok enough of the fake crying theatrics, great job though Kaibrienne," a user wrote. "Exactly . It’s getting old like moldy cheese," replied another user. Some mocked the singer for her inability to play the piano. "Here we go again.. Kaibrienne within a few words "Walking barefoot on glass".. wth.. Life is really that rough huh? And why play the piano if you can't play the piano?" wrote another fan. 

Luke Bryan sees 'star vibes' in Kaibrienne Richin's voice

During KB's performance, Luke Bryan observed "star vibes" in her presence and eagerly anticipated her confidence blossoming. Tori Kelly and Lionel Richie were visibly moved by KB's singing, with Tori acknowledging her talent while advising her to have more belief in herself.

Lionel acknowledged the emotional depth in KB's voice, confessing that it gave him chills. Katy Perry praised KB for possessing one of the most unique voices among the contestants and encouraged her to keep competing. Overall, the judges' feedback highlighted KB's potential and the impact she could make on the competition. 

What disease does Kaibrienne Richin's have? 

Kaibrienne was diagnosed with Hashimoto's thyroiditis during her fourth-grade years. This rare autoimmune disorder results in hypothyroidism, causing her thyroid to be underactive. Consequently, KB experiences intense mood swings as a result of this condition.

Despite facing such challenges, her father has been a constant source of support for her. He expressed the pain of watching his daughter struggle with regulating her emotions, noting her immense potential and the difficulties she faces in coping with the disorder.

Talking about her disease, her father shared during the auditions, "It was a struggle to watch the most beautiful girl in the world, who I know has more potential in her little finger than I ever will have, struggling to regulate her emotions. She can go from saying “This is the best thing in the world” to saying she wants to die."
