Did Catherine and Gabriella walk the New York Fashion Week? ‘sMothered’ stars seem nervous as they audition for fashion show
CLINTON, CONNECTICUT: Catherine and Gabriella are looking forward to achieving their big dreams, like hitting the runway during the New York Fashion Week.
In the latest episode of the TLC show 'sMothered' Season 5, this mother-daughter duo was seen auditioning for New York Fashion Week.
In a confessional, Gabriella said, "Walking in and seeing the other models, they are very intimidating. I have walked in little shows but this is actually my first real New York City audition. I have no idea what I'm walking into."
On the other hand, Catherine shared in a confessional, "It's the first mother-daughter duo that I know that will be auditioning for New York Fashion Week and potentially walking in the show together and how exciting is that."
Soon after, Gabriella showed her walk to Melo and Aria, the directors of the modeling agency Blonde House. She added, "I have dreamed of walking the New York Fashion Show for years but I am very nervous because they are looking at you they looking to see if you are the right package for what they are doing and I really want to nail this audition because it can open so many more doors for me."
She even spoke about the runway walk and said, "It's a very different walk, very serious, you have to look like you are mad. Arms tucked, cross the feet over."
Up until now, it's not known whether Catherine and Gabriella hit the New York Fashion Week runway or not.
Blonde House invites ‘sMothered’ star Catherine to be their silver model
Later on, in the episode, Catherine demonstrated her walk to the directors of the modeling company.
During a confessional, Catherine talked about Blonde House and said, "So this company that we are going to audition for they usually just take models in their twenties, however, they did say they do have usually one silver model which from what I found is a model who is 40 or older."
The beauty pageant queen continued, "I'm feeling very nervous about this because it's something I have never done before it's something that I dreamt about since I was Gabriella's age."
Did ‘sMothered’ star Gabriella win Miss Connecticut 2023?
Although Gabriella gave her all in the 2023 Miss Connecticut pageant, she was unable to secure the desired title.
Karla Aponte Roque ultimately emerged as the winner. However, Gabriella didn't leave empty-handed; she was awarded the title of fourth runner-up.
Despite not winning the crown, Gabriella's resilience and unwavering determination shine through. There are no signs of her giving up anytime soon.
What are Gabriella’s future plans?
Despite placing fourth in the Miss Connecticut 2023 pageant, Gabriella remains undeterred. Instead, she appears even more determined to vie for the crown in the next pageant.
“I have been competing since I was 19 and I’ve placed as a top five finalist, but I’m not giving up on my dream to follow in mama’s footsteps and bag the same title she landed," Gabriella told The New York Post.
In addition to wanting to be a pageant queen, Gabriella also talked about her wish for a romantic partner and the difficulties she faces due to her close relationship with her mother.
She continues to be hopeful about finding love even though she faces challenges in balancing her mother-daughter bond.
Gabriella further added, "My mom...wants me to always be hanging out with her — no one else. When I have boyfriends, mom says we are in the ‘love triangle.'"
