Spoilers for 'Devils' Season 1 Episode 2

Returning for a second episode, 'Devils' took the story forward immediately following the events of the first episode. Massimo Ruggero's (Alessandro Borghi) wife is still in the hospital but in an induced coma to remain alive. He is still heartbroken over the circumstances surrounding their meeting and is desperate for her to wake up.

On the other hand, Edward Stuart's (Ben Miles) apparent suicide has raised a lot of lingering questions not only for authorities but more so for Massimo, whose investigations in this episode makes shocking revelations.

In Episode 2 of the series, Massimo, hurt from Dominic Morgan's (Patrick Dempsey) betrayal, is seething for revenge and he will have it one way or the other. But as he goes about planning and setting it up, he finds out extremely confusing details surrounding Ed's death.

Ed had only just got the promotion that both he and Massimo were competing for. But barely hours into that, he jumped off the railings in the NYL office and fallen to his tragic death. It is revealed in Episode 2 by Ed's wife Claire Stuart (Jemma Powell) that he had indeed refused the promotion and resigned from office. She asked Massimo why Ed would kill himself after that.

She added about how this business of big money changes men into thinking they are gods — indicating that there is more to Ed's death than what meets the eye. Just like Massimo, fans of the show are confused about Ed's apparent suicide. "Ed resigned and quit to get his life back... But still jumped?! #DevilsCW" tweeted a fan. "If Ed was quitting, why jump?" added another one.

Another question Massimo was chasing on the episode was looking for the contents of a certain file on Ed's laptop titled "Massimo". While he did not really have success in finding out what the file would have contained, there are now suspicions floating around that it has something to do with Dominic himself. "C'mon dominic, why would the wiped file be named 'massimo' #DevilsCW #Devils what ed have on him, & who was he snooping for," tweeted a fan.

The question is: Can one trust Dominic at all? 'Devils' will air on Wednesdays at 8 pm ET/PT on The CW.
