'Deadliest Catch' Season 16 Episode 4: Johnathan Hillstrand is back and fans are glad he's out of retirement
Spoilers for 'Deadliest Catch' Season 6 Episode 4 'Shotguns and Fistfights'
One of the highlights of the season so far is the return of Johnathan Hillstrand, a seasoned veteran. Time and again, the relief captain of the Saga-Bandit has been instrumental in getting pots filled with crabs. In addition, he is also Jake's best mate. 'Shotguns and Fistfights' sees Jake in the doldrums as he sees the team go through a lean patch in terms of raking in the crabs.
In Johnathan, he finds support urges him to blow off some steam by shooting at the water with a shotgun calling the therapy "Hillstrand Yoga", something for which fans had a lot of praise. "@captjohnathan teaches hilstrand yoga. Now THAT'S an exercise class I can totally get into. @JakeVAnderson#deadliestcatch@DeadliestCatch" read a tweet.
"Johnathan has been good for Jake. Jake would've freaked out many times by now if he wasn't there. #DeadliestCatch #SagaBandit" opined one of the fans.
"Loved that Hillstrand pep talk," wrote a fan. There was good news for Jake as the show revealed a baby boy was on its way. "#DeadliestCatch looking forward to tonight's show. Congratulations Jake on your baby boy!" congratulated one of the fans. "Honestly, this is just what Jake needs to hear. #DeadliestCatch" said a fan.
"Goodman @captjohnathanWise words! #DeadliestCatch" seconded another.
"Come hang out, I'm gonna do something crazy" - @captjohnathan in a nutshell, in his own words. I can't believe they got him out of retirement but I'm so glad they did. @DeadliestCatch#SagaBandit #DeadliestCatch" remarked a fan.
Somewhere there, fans just couldn't stop thinking about Harley of the Southern Wind. This was a funny one: "Haven’t seen Harley yet tonight. Maybe he got so busy checking everybody else’s pots he forgot where he put his #DeadliestCatch".
The end of the episode saw the Saga-Bandit hit paydirt when they cast their pots at Johnathan's favorite spot, "The Gooseneck". In the end, it was a classic tale of all's well that ends well for Jake Anderson as the crew were also richly rewarded for their efforts with pots full of crabs.
'Deadliest Catch' Season 16 airs on Tuesdays at 8 pm ET on The Discovery.
