'DC's Legends of Tomorrow' Season 5 may have wrapped up but it dropped a major bombshell in its last few moments. Season 6 is going to see the team go up against evil aliens and it all begins with the last-minute abduction of Sara Lance / White Canary (Caity Lotz).

In the scene, Sara is caught in a strange beam and taken away to space while the rest of the team, including her girlfriend and co-captain Ava Sharpe (Jes Macallan), walks away oblivious to what is happening right behind them. It was a pretty major cliffhanger to end the season on and the moment took a lot of the fans by surprise. Now, Caity Lotz has shared a reaction video on Twitter showing a number of people freaking out over the alien abduction. She captioned the clip, "The truth is out there", referring to the cult classic show 'The X-Files'.

The video shows a range of reactions from "Okay, what just happened?" to "Don't you dare!" to "Why is nobody noticing this?" And there's plenty more of those in the comments section of Lotz's post. "Sara lance is also out there, in space, alone and we're all very sad and worried," one fan commented. Another fan tweeted, "MA'AM WHY DO YOU KEEP ON PUTTING US THRU SO MUCH," while yet another fan wrote, "my poor gay heart".

One fan, asking the important questions, wrote, "So are y’all gonna storm area 51 next season?" Another fan commented, "Spill the tea I can't wait to see what's going on." Now that's a reaction we've all been having since the scene itself revealed practically nothing about the aliens behind Sara's abduction. "That was legit a curveball... lol did not see that coming," one fan wrote.

A number of fans are also speculating on there being some sort of crossover next season. One such fan wrote, "If there isn’t an X-Files crossover next season then what’s the point?" While it is unlikely there will be an actual crossover with 'The X-Files', 'Legends' has been known to pay tribute to classic shows and genres so we'll definitely get some Mulder and Scully action one way or another. Another fan theorized that this new aliens angle could lead to a crossover with 'Supergirl' and wrote, "It's okay. In Agents of Shield, Jemma found Fitz, and Ava will find Sara," before adding in a separate tweet, "But do I see a @TheCWSupergirl crossover in the future?"

Well, we don't know any more than you do but we're also hoping to get some answers soon because waiting a whole year to find out what's happened to our favorite time-traveling assassin is just way too painful.

'DC's Legends of Tomorrow' Season 6 is scheduled to premiere Spring of 2021.
