'DC's Legends of Tomorrow': Sara Lance might still be haunted by Oliver Queen's sacrifice going into Season 5

This article contains spoilers for 'Crisis on Infinite Earths', in case you still haven't watched it.

There are some things that can't be fixed by fighting a giant Beebo. Sure, the death of Oliver Queen / Green Arrow (Stephen Amell) has undoubtedly affected all the heroes who knew him but the loss of Oliver is something that cuts far closer to home for Sara Lance / White Canary (Caity Lotz) than anyone else.

As we saw in 'Crisis on Infinite Earths' Part 5, Sara considered Oliver the last person who still anchored her to her past. In a way, his death has freed her from that past but that doesn't mean it's any less depressing to know that your oldest friend isn't a phone call away anymore.

Ironically enough, things couldn't be better for most of the other Legends. The first episode of the upcoming season will reportedly see the crew in high spirits as they adjust to life as celebrities, now that the whole world knows that they are heroes. But despite the fame and the glory, Sara still isn't happy.

Even in the preview pictures for the upcoming episode, there's a certain sadness about the captain and it's obvious that she's got her own problems to deal with. Season 5 will also see a number of dead people coming back to life so she can't even throw herself into work without being constantly reminded that all these evil souls returned from the abyss but the best man she ever knew is still lost.

It's a truly tragic position to find oneself in and we'll probably see Sara grappling with her new circumstances for a while this season. It's a good thing she has her new family aboard the Waverider to remind her of the happier things in life, even if they do it in their own wacky way.

'DC's Legends of Tomorrow' Season 5 will begin airing on The CW on January 21.
