Spoilers for 'DC's Legends of Tomorrow' Season 5 Episode 11 'Ship Broken'

'DC's Legends of Tomorrow' Season 5 served up a spectacular bottle episode this week with 'Ship Broken'. Featuring a lot of character development and putting the spotlight on relatively new characters like Lita (Mina Sundwall) and Astra Logue (Olivia Swann), the episode told a pretty interesting story with a mystery at the heart of it all.

After Charlie's (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) first attempt to use the Loom of Fate backfires, the Waverider is stranded and someone uses this diversion to take the rings that make up the Loom. Who, you ask? A dog brought onboard the ship by Gary Green (Adam Tsekhman).

As weird as that is, what's weirder is that a lot of fans guessed the dog is the suspect quite early on. Over on Reddit, fans discussing the episode talked about how the most bizarre answer you can think of is usually the right one on this show.

"Remember the days when we'd see a mystery and we wouldn't calmly and accurately consider a dog our prime suspect?" One fan asked. "Me neither."

"This show has trained us to think, 'Okay, what is the most bizarre thing we can think of in this situation,'" another fan wrote. "Because most of the times that is the answer."

Not only was it an evil ring-stealing dog, but it was also an evil ring-stealing dog from Hell and the same hound that caused the Son of Sam murders (famous serial killer from the 1970s who took orders from a dog, apparently). And one fan claimed to have guessed all of that right at the beginning and now suspects Gary's new emotional support animal, a rabbit he procured from a carnie, is going to be the cause of next week's mayhem.

"I suspected the Dog before anything went wrong which makes it worse, I also guessed it was Son of Sam related, I've been killing it at historical figure bingo this year," they wrote. "I now suspect Gary's Rabbit is going to terrorize us next week."

While the dog may have been an evil monster on the show, it was apparently a delight to work with and Adam Tsekhman, who plays Gary on 'Legends', says he was "in heaven" the whole time.

"Loved it! So, for me, it's just joyous," Tsekhman told CBR. "I love animals. You know, when I got to work with the unicorn -- they actually got a 'real' unicorn for Season 4 -- that was amazing."

"So the dog was actually a girl," he continued. "Her name is Felicia. I wasn't really letting her go in between scenes. I was just walking around with her. I was showing her the Waverider. We got along famously. I sang her a lullaby, then she started kissing me at the end. I'll be posting that on Instagram, actually, at some point. It was a beautiful moment. So I was in heaven is the short answer."

'DC's Legends of Tomorrow' Season 5 airs Tuesdays at 9 pm ET exclusively on The CW.
