'Days of Our Lives' Spoilers: Will Philip confess his feelings for Belle or will his true love Chloe be back?

Maggie wonders how Jan sneaked Belle into the house and into Philip’s bed. What do you think could be the backstory?

Spoilers for 'Days of Our Lives'

You never know what surprise life may bring to your door. Something similar happened in the last episode of ‘Days of Our Lives’ after Jan Spears (Heather Lindell) replaced Belle Black (Martha Madison) at her wedding with Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer). Back at the Kiriakis mansion, Maggie Horton (Suzanne Rogers) talks to Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson) about what's bothering him and he confesses he still has feelings for Belle.

“Even to myself, I sound like an adolescent fool,” he says. Maggie offers him some advice and hugs him. In quite an unexpected twist later, he steps into his bedroom to find Belle sleeping in his bed. Clad in négligée, Belle gets closer to Philip as he consoles her and Philips steps in just at the same time. While he seethes in anger at the sight of the two, Belle explains Philip is innocent. 

Shawn clarifies that his marriage to Jan is invalid as there is no license for her to prove and recounts the events of the night, especially how her father John Black (Drake Hogestyn) was arrested after trying to strangle Jan. While Shawn believes Philip's story, Maggie wonders how Jan sneaked Belle into the house and into Philip’s bed. What do you think could be the backstory?

In the latest update, the official handle of ‘Days of Our Lives’ posted, "Philip admits to Maggie he’s a little sad that Belle is marrying Shawn." That hints at Philip's inclination towards Belle but fans are sure his true love Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) will be back soon. 

"He’ll forget all about Belle once his first love, Chloe, returns," one fan said and another posted, "He shouldn't be, his true love Chloe is on her way! #Phloe." A third wrote, "Philip is annoying AF this go-around. He's so immature. It's like he reverted to his pre-Marines, snobby, childish self. No thanks." One fan wants Shawn and Belle to be together. "Can Shawn & Belle go back to Hong Kong now!" and another joined in, saying, "And take Claire with them."

One annoyed fan wrote, "THANK YOU!!!! #DAYS really need to stop acting like Belle was the love of Philip's life and they sure need to stop downplaying Chloe's role in his life. This is disrespectful to their story and to their fans. I've had enough of this." Another asked, "Why is Philip still hung up on Belle when he should be going after Chloe?"

The Shawn-Belle-Philip love triangle has spanned decades but will fans ever see their dream come true with Chloe returning into Philip's life?
