USA Network's 'Dare Me' is taking a break from its usual schedule due to Super Bowl 2020.

The mystery-thriller based on Megan Abbott's novel of the same name has managed to garner great reviews from the viewers and critics alike. Unlike other shows, in spite of centering cheerleading, 'Dare Me' skillfully navigates the lives of its characters retaining the attention of the audience till the very end of each episode.

As Episode 5 titled 'Parallel Trenches' ended with a major cliffhanger, fans eagerly waited to watch the next episode. However, Episode 6 'Code Red', isn't airing during the regular slot tonight and will be out on February 9 instead.

Dedicated fans of the show weren’t too pleased to learn that they had to wait an entire week to catch up on the next episode. One fan wrote, "I just remembered we're not getting a new #dareme tomorrow bc of the stupid fuck shit super bowl god dammit dhssgssggsgssg."

"I have to wait until February 9th??? Noooooo #dareme," another lamented.

The news regarding Episode 6 being postponed was announced by Rob Heaps who plays coach Colette's (Willa Fitzgerald)  husband Matt French in the series.

He tweeted, "#DareMe is taking a break this weekend as the football stadium project has hit a little snag. Nothing to worry about — just finances, investors getting jittery, hahaha. We'll be back Sunday 9th Feb!! Oh and I love working for Bert. Yes. @USA_Network."

Episode 5 saw Beth Cassidy (Marlo Kelly) struggle to cope with the memories of her time with Kurtz (Chris Zylka), which has clearly left her scarred. We were also teased with numerous possibilities by bringing Addy Hanlon (Herizen Guardiola) and Colette closer than before.

While a few speculations suggest that Addy has hidden feelings for Colette, some of the fans are shipping Beth and Addy.

Beth and Addy’s treatment of each other has fans puzzled and they are seen asking on social media if 'Dare Me' is queerbaiting them or if it's worth the watch.

"Dont know how long ill stick with it but I started watching #dareme and damn is it queer, like what is going on I had to google and im still like ???? does it pay off or do we just live with the tension or do we drop it? (sic)" asked a fan.
