'Dancing with the Stars': Skai Jackson-Alan Bernsten tops leaderboard on premiere, elated fans predict her win

Judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Derek Hough had already seen a couple of performances by the time Skai and Alan performed and none of them had them as impressed as they'd have liked

Fans of the Internet's favorite YouTuber and actress Skai Jackson rejoiced when it was announced that she'd be joining the celebrity lineup of 'Dancing With The Stars' on Season 29. It was revealed on the season premiere episode that aired on Monday, September 14, night that Skai was paired up with pro-dancer Alan Bernsten.

The duo set the 'DWTS' floor on fire when they did the tango to Nicky Minaj's 'Superbass'. The judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Derek Hough had already seen a couple of performances by the time Skai and Alan performed and none of them had them as impressed as they'd have liked. However, when Skai set foot on that stage with Alan, she had the judges mesmerized.

During the critique, it was clear that the petite young star had the judges wrapped around her finger with her efforts and skills which also earned her the highest scores on the leaderboard. No one but Justina Machado (who also tied for number one position at the end of all performance) came close to managing to galvanize the judges like Skai and Alan did. After her performance, Skai fans took to Twitter to share their joy and lend support to her. Here are a couple of comments from her fans.

Apart from Skai, hip-hop star Nelly, Nev Schulman, Anne Heche, Jeannie Mai and Jesse Metcalfe have emerged as big winners, as far as fan support on social media goes, at the end of the premiere night episode.

'Dancing With The Stars' airs Mondays at 8 pm on ABC.
