LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: When we think about really good dancers, one name which pops up is the globally prominent Latin Ballroom dancer Witney Carson. After gaining accolades from audiences for her nuanced performances, Witney is ready to burn the stage with her brilliant dance moves alongside contestant Wayne Brady this time in 'Dancing with the Stars' Season 31. While professional dancers are generally low-key about their private lives, this is not the case for Witney who has been open about the same. However, even then, very few fans know details about her real-life love story with husband Carson McAllister.

Witney and Carson's high-school relationship from 2011 to 2015 

Even before professionally starting her career as a dancer in the industry, Witney and Carson had been in a serious relationship from their high school days. The duo was in love with each other since they were 17. They both met in their hometown of Utah.



 

Carson proposed to Witney in 2015

Carson went down on one knee and popped the question to Witney on October 3, 2015. Witney had officially announced the same to her fans on Instagram. She dropped a post for the same on Instagram. Her caption mentioned how she was feeling blessed enough to be the happiest woman in the world. Her caption read, "My love of four years @carson.mcallister proposed last night & I feel like the luckiest, happiest woman in the world.it was perfect, he's perfect #engaged."



 

Witney and Carson get married in January 2016

Witney got married to Carson in Salt Lake City on January 2, 2016. Witney exchanged rings with Carson in a small religious ceremony. Then they hosted a large dinner and reception at NOAH’s Event Center in Lindon, Utah as well. In an interview with PEOPLE dated January 2016, she spoke about how they felt thrilled to start their lives together as a couple. Witney said, "I’m just excited to start our lives together".

In the same interview, Carson opened up on how Witney had been his dream girl since the seventh grade. He said, "She was my dream girl since 7th grade. But she didn't know I existed until senior year. We became really close friends and kinda started dating. From the second I got to know her, I could tell she was the most loving and understanding girl I’d ever met".

Witney added how they both had been in a rigmarole of sorts since he was in Utah and she was in LA. She said, "We’ve been in this limbo where he’s in Utah and I’m in L.A. and we haven’t been able to create a life together. Now, we get to have a fresh start together. I’m excited. He’s my best friend".



 

Witney has been an integral part of 'Dancing with the Stars' ever since Season 13 in March 2013. She joined in as a troupe dancer and was a choreographer for the troupe till Season 17 in 2017. From Season 18, Witney became a professional dancer. She has won accolades from audiences for her mesmerizing performances on screens over the years. This time, Witney is prepared to wow the audiences and judges by displaying her breath-taking dance moves alongside contestant Wayne Brady in much-talked-about 'Dancing with the Stars' Season 31 on Disney+ at 8 PM ET.
