'Dancing with the Stars' is the USA's version of the UK's 'Strictly Come Dancing'. Last year, the show skipped its spring season for the very first time since 2007 and returned in September for the fall edition. This year too, the coronavirus pandemic played a dampener with its spring edition for the second time in a row but we are nearing fall and the makers of the show are gearing up to present the 29th season of this highly successful show. Release Date
Season 29 of 'Dancing with the Stars' will air on Monday, September 14 on ABC, 8-10 pm ET.
Plot
'Dancing with the Stars' is the series in which celebrities perform choreographed dance routines that are judged by a panel of renowned ballroom experts.
Cast
The celebrity participants of the show will only be revealed closer to the release date of the show. Until now, there's been one revelation regarding the participants and that is 'Bachelorette' Kaitlyn Bristowe. Hosts
Hosts Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews have held the show together for years with their flawless compèring. However, their run on the show has ended and Tom himself confirmed the news as he tweeted, "Just informed @DancingABC will be continuing without me. It's been an incredible 15 year run and the most unexpected gift of my career. I'm grateful for that and for the lifelong friendships made. That said, now what am I supposed to do with all of these glitter masks?"

In a joint statement from ABC and BBC studios to Fox News, the networks also announced that Erin who started hosting since 2014 will not be returning. Even though there was no explanation offered for the sudden ouster, the networks assured in their statement that, "Bergeron will forever be part of the 'Dancing with the Stars' family."
The show has signed on Tyra Banks as the new host and announced the same via their social media. "Please join us in welcoming @tyrabanks as #DWTS host. Thank you to @Tom_Bergeron and @ErinAndrews for so many seasons of glitz, glamour, and good times!" read the tweet posted to 'DWTS' Twitter account on July 15.

"I've been a fan of DWTS since its beginning ... The fun mixed with raw emotion, seeing celebrities push past their comfort zones, the sizzling dance performances ... it's always transported me to my days of turning it up 10 notches on the catwalk," said Tyra about her participation, reports CNN.
