'Dancing With The Stars': Nelly's cha-cha performance has fans saying he dances like dads who embarrass
It's week two on 'Dancing With The Stars' and like every other contestant on the show, Nelly tried to up the ante and do better than what he did during his last week's performance. He is from St Louis and growing up there he faced a lot of adversities but the community is what helped him keep going. He was seen telling his partner, pro-dancer Daniella Karagach, that the light that shines on them now, he aims to shed some of it on his city too. She was a hundred percent in on it and commended how he represented St Louis in his performances.
It was now time for his performance and he and Daniella did an amazing cha-cha routine for which they got a great response from the judges. Bruno Tonioli said that the timing of the pair during the performance was great and he also commended Nelly's musicality. At the same time, he also suggested that Nelly needed to focus more on the kicks.
Carrie Ann Inaba too had great critique to dispense for Nelly. She said that his hard work shines through but at the same time suggested that he could focus more on finetuning the turns and maybe loosen up on the shoulders. She concluded by saying that he has a great groove and is easy on the eyes. Derek Hough too had all good things to say about the performance.
Nelly managed to impress the judges with the performance but the same couldn't be said about the audiences watching from home. "#DWTS made Nelly stiff. Nelly want's to turn up and dance like the daddy who embarrasses you, but is fun to be around. #NellyMo #DWTS," wrote a fan.
