'Dancing With The Stars' Season 28: Fans slam show's voting system after Kate Flannery gets eliminated despite being a top performer
'Dancing With The Stars' is close to its end but this week's elimination left viewers shocked. Sean Spicer, Hannah Brown, James Van Der Beek, Kel Mitchell, and Lauren Alaina were safe from elimination which meant Kate Flannery and Ally Brooke were in the bottom two.
Seeing Brooke and Flannery in the bottom two was a surprise to everyone because both of them had performed extremely well in today's, as well as the last episode. Brooke even became the first person to score a perfect score while Flannery scored 24. Despite this, the two did not have luck when it came to the audience votes. Flannery and Brooke got the lowest votes which automatically landed them in the bottom two. The judges were shocked that Brooke and Flannery were in the bottom two.
Carrie Ann Inaba stated that she was confused as to whom to vote for because both of them were good. Finally, all of them decided to give their vote to Brooke and save her from elimination. With a heavy heart, all the contestants and the judges had to bid goodbye to Flannery.
Fans were left shocked and quickly took to social media to express their disappointment. Some thought that the voting system did not do justice to the show as one comment read, "Time to get rid of live voting let it be the judge's decision... considering they KNOW what a good dance looks like. No reason @KateFlannery is leaving."
Another chimed in stating, "I can’t believe America voted for that fat talentless potato blob of a man over the smart, strong, sophisticated and clearly more qualified woman.... oh wait. Sean Spicer over @KateFlannery?! You gotta be kidding me!!!"
Others added that Flannery deserved to be in the show as one comment read, "It’s official; America sucks at voting. #DWTS wtaf, I repeat what the actual f..... @KateFlannery I am so heartbroken to see you go. We all know where the weakest link was and it was *not* Kate."
