'Dancing With The Stars': James Van Der Beek gets eliminated in semi-finale and fans are heartbroken

Fans were left shocked after they found out that James was leaving the show.

'Dancing With The Stars' is one step away from the finale but the fans had to bid goodbye to one of the contestants before that. In today's episode, all the contestants put their best foot forward but one of their journeys had to come to an end. Unfortunately, it happened to be James Van Der Beek.

Kel Mitchell, Hannah Brown, and Lauren Alaina were safe from the elimination which meant  Ally Brooke and James were in the bottom two. Ally was not surprised that she was in the bottom two because luck has not been with her in the past two episodes as she found herself in the bottom two. While it was a new experience for James, people were torn between who should be saved.

It came to the judges to make the big decision. Surprisingly, all the judges decided to save Ally which meant James was out of the show. Even though James was at the bottom of the leaderboard this episode his past performance has always kept him at the top.

Fans were left shocked after they found out that James was leaving the show. Many had their hearts set on him as they believed he was going to win the show. "BUT I THOUGHT JAMES VAN DER BEEK WAS GONNA WIN," wrote one fan.

Another added, "I will NEVER watch #DWTS again!!! James Van Der Beek was ROBBED!!! SMH!!! I'm done with this show. What a joke!!!" Others also chimed in the idea of him winning the show as one comment read, "James Van Der Beek deserved the mirror ball, I haven’t been this heartbroken since Milo and Witney not winning last year."

Another added, "Can not believe James Van Der Beek was sent home by the judges! Shocked!! Thought he was going to be the winner." While the fans had to say their goodbyes to James, there are still four contestants left who have an equal chance of winning the show.

'Dancing With The Stars' airs on Mondays at 8 pm on ABC.
