His Paso Doble saw him receive rave reviews from the judges. On his performance, Judge Derek said he had perfect lines and that power and stage presence were all there, scoring him a 9. He continued saying the Paso Doble is a man's dance and that Cody's dominance made for a fantastic performance. He gave him a 10. Judge Bruno full of enthusiasm said he released the beast within and was a mortal combat-like power-packed performance, scoring him a 9. Judge Carrie Ann voiced similar thoughts and said it was fantastic and that he finally brought it all together for a powerful performance. She scored him a 10 for a total of 38 out of 40.
The special dance-off saw him face off against Amanda Kloots and her partner Alan Bersten. The two had to perform the Cha Cha to 'Together Again' which was judged by Len Goodman. He said both of them gave clean, crisp performances but it all hinged on one step called the New York. This saw him award his 2 bonus points to Amanda.
