‘Dancing with the Stars’: AJ McLean gets eliminated, but fans shocked to see Johnny in the bottom two

Even though AJ was looking forward to returning with a better performance after the comments he received from the judges last week, he somehow couldn’t keep up to their expectations.

With the semi-finals only a week away, judges of ‘Dancing with the Stars’ are finding it more and more difficult to score the celebrity contestants. Tonight’s, November 9, episode titled ‘Icons  Night’ saw several brilliant performances, including a dance-off between three couples. However, based on the judges’ final score and fans vote, Johnny Weir-Britt and AJ McLean- Cheryl find themselves in the bottom two, while the ‘Backstreet’ singer gets sent home.

It was also rather shocking to see Johnny in the bottom two as he received a full score for his first performance. In the second round, he and AJ faced off and two out of three judges chose to save AJ. However, AJ’s performance didn’t quite impress the judges in the first round as they pointed out he made a few mistakes.

Even though AJ was looking forward to returning with a better performance after the comments he received from the judges last week, he somehow couldn’t live up to their expectations. Aj and Cheryl performed Vienesse Waltz to ‘Somebody to Love’ by Queen.

The singer did receive a lot of support from fans on social media upon receiving one of the lowest scores in the latest episode, but that alone couldn’t save him and bring him to the semi-finals round that’s scheduled to take place next week.

Commenting on the elimination process one fan wrote on twitter, “What do you mean we aren't taking @CherylBurke
to the semi finals???? WTF judge?!?!?! @aj_mclean
gave heart, soul & everything else to us on the dance floor!!! Amazing to watch every week, thank you #TeamPrettyMessedUp #DWTS"

Another added, "I could not be more proud of @aj_mclean if I tried! You did amazing everytime you danced on #DWTS and maybe I'm biased but.
I'm crying, obviously, not just because you're going home but also because I am so damn proud to call myself a fan.#TeamPrettyMessedUp"

One fan who was shocked to see Johnny in the bottom two wrote, "After tonight’s show of #DWTS I am over this season. I did not feel that AJ and Cheryl should’ve been eliminated, nor Britt and Johnny. There were two dancers who the judges love that are not great at all! I feel like this season has been so biased."

Adding to that another wrote, "This show is RIGGED. Johnny is too good to have been in the bottom, Nelly and Skai on the other hand, should have been eliminated long ago. I also think AJ is better than the both of them and should have at least lasted longer than those 2. Sry, I had to share my opinion. #Dwts"
