At the age of 21, she was confirmed to have Lyme disease, most likely to have appeared from Meniere's disease. Despite the struggle, Daisy's family continued to be by her side.

Daisy went through cochlear implantation surgery in 2023. She documented her whole journey and became viral on the Internet after people showered her with love and support on social media.
