LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jeffrey Dahmer was first ever introduced in 'Dark Horse' by Katy Perry but unfortunately not many people were enlightened about the heinous case then. Although Katy Perry received a certain amount of backlash for including the infamous man in her lyrics, Netflix's series, 'Dahmer - Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story' is doing incredibly well when it comes to viewership.
'Dahmer - Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story' reached the number one spot on Netflix in the first week of its release. It became Netflix's second most-watched English-language series of all time within 28 days. The series reached number one on the Nielsen Top 10 streaming chart in the first week of its release. It placed Number 7 on Nielsen's all-time list for single-week viewership in its second week and now 'Dahmer - Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer' Story' has officially surpassed 1 billion hours viewed! The series explores the motives of Jeffrey Dahmer, and how he became one of the most notorious serial killers in America. His murders consisted of men and adolescent boys who were killed in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Ohio between 1978 and 1991.

According to the official Netflix page on Twitter, "'DAHMER - Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story' has officially surpassed 1 billion hours viewed! The series from Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan is only the third Netflix series to reach this milestone, joining 'Stranger Things 4' and 'Squid Game.'"

The season is about the life of serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer (Evan Peters). Other main characters include Dahmer's father Lionel (Richard Jenkins), stepmother Shari (Molly Ringwald), suspicious neighbor Glenda (Niecy Nash), and grandmother Catherine (Michael Learned).
However, Netflix initially ordered the program in 2020 as a limited series, then Netflix announced on November 7, 2022, that it had renewed 'Monster' as an anthology series, with two further editions based on the lives of "other monstrous figures" to be announced.
The anthology series' first installment from Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan is only the third title in Netflix history to cross the 1 billion hour viewing mark within 60 days, and only the second ever English Language series. 'Dahmer' spent seven weeks on the Netflix Global Top 10 and reached the Top 10 in 92 countries. It also broke into the 'Most Popular English TV' of all time list in 12 days where it currently ranks at number 2. Since its debut, Evan Peters' portrayal of Dahmer has been met with resounding praise, calling his performance "legendary," "engrossing," and "an absolute must-see."
