Spoilers for 'DC's Legends of Tomorrow' Season 5 Episode 7 'Romeo vs Juliet: Dawn of Justness'

Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh) sayeth farewell. Nora (Courtney Ford) doth say it as well. This episode, yes, sadly was their last. But first there's one last mission to the past! John Constantine (Matt Ryan) needs the Loom - 'fore Astra (Olivia Swann) spells doom. Charlie (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) joins; but the Loom's pieces can't be bought with coin. Though now happily wed, Ray's in a rut. He know's it's time to leave, but he cannot. He finds it hard to say goodbye to Nate; to end a bromance so perfectly great.  This season's high, an episode of mirth - Ray and Nora get the goodbyes they're worth.

'Legends' has built up quite a family, emphasized by a brilliant bathroom scene. They're silly, and they're close, and they all care - united by the adventures they've shared. It's that intimacy that's shining through - the team's more than a superhero group. Even Mona Wu's(Ramona Young) here, for Book Club and teammates that she holds dear.

Ray isn't quite prepared to say goodbye, so to Nate Heywood (Nick Zano) he lies. Ray wants one last, perfect Legends mission, though few Legends' plans see full fruition. The team throws back a few drinks in the past, and change history surprisingly fast.

Romeo & Juliet soon don capes, for Shakespeare now writes superhero japes. To fix the past, and thusly all of time, the Legends perform Shakespeare in his prime. The Legends know just how to ham things up, in service of a timeline gone corrupt. Everyone embraces their Shakespeare; donning tights and doublets and fake beards. The playwright wrote camp and wrote earnestness, both qualities with which this show is blessed.

The Book Club scenes were also just pure fun - a Ladies Night before time is undone. Ray and Nora's sendoff show was a blast - it's a shame their show's tenure didn't last. They're both gone from the series far too soon; their performance on 'Legends' was a boon. Ray's optimism and faith leave a hole - replacing him, an impossible goal.

March 17 is when the show next airs - tune in on CW, it airs there.
