'Crash Landing on You': Week 7 sees both Se-ri and Jeong-hyeok get shot at but is this the end for the couple?
'Crash Landing on You' episodes 13 and 14 see Ri Jeong-hyeok (Hyun Bin) and Cho Cheol-gang (Oh Man-seok) have a gunfight in Seoul and as a result, Yoon Se-ri (Son Ye-jin) is shot. The couple was all set to say their goodbyes, and yet again, things did not go as planned.
Se-ri and Jeong-hyeok with the help of their group of men Pyo Chi-su, Park Kwang-beom, Kim Ju-meok, Geum Eun-dong and Jung Man-bok had it all set up to ensure that they will leave Seoul with Cheol-gang to ensure Se-ri's safety. Before that, all of them try to enjoy the little time they have on this side of the border.
Se-ri gives Jeong-hyeok's team an opportunity to indulge in eating, drinking and buying the best of things that they had so far wanted. She gives them her credit card but is surprised to find out when they do not spend too much. Instead, she decides to get them gifts before they have to leave.
However, when Se-ri gets shot by Cheol-gang after trying to save Jeong-hyeok, everyone stays behind to ensure that she wakes up and returns to being healthy. When days pass without Se-ri not waking up, things get difficult for Jeong-hyeok because the shooting incident is now being investigated by the police and NIS. They have already found the tunnel that Jeong-hyeok had used to come to Seoul and the South Korean intelligence suspects that the shooting also had something to do with the spies who crossed over.
While Jeong-hyeok has a passport that identifies him as a Chinese national, this is not the case for the others from North Korea who have crossed over to help him. So whatever Jeong-hyeok has planned, he has to orchestrate it before it becomes problematic for the others in his team. During the shootout, it was not just Se-ri who got shot, but Cheol-gang was injured as well. He still gets help from one of the gangsters who brokered a deal between Se-ri's elder brother and Cheol-gang in the first place.
Jeong-hyeok has found a way to track Cheol-gang and this seems to be his last try at getting Cheol-gang captured. However, because Se-ri's brother Yoon Se-hyeong and his wife Ko Sang-ah helped Cheol-gang in the first place, they learn through their connection that Jeong-hyeok is from North Korea. She informs the NIS official of the same as a way to get back at Se-ri for outing herself and her husband. Now that Se-ri's father has disowned his younger son for trying to harm his sister, Sang-ah has no qualms about Jeong-hyeok getting killed.
In the end, Jeong-hyeok decides that his team must not be involved any further and ends up facing Cheol-gang alone. The injured Cheol-gang is in no state to fight or defend himself. However, the Seoul police and NIS cops interfere.
They have been informed of Jeong-hyeok's true nationality and have reached the spot and when Jeong-hyeok tries to comprehend what his next move must be — to shoot Cheol-gang and finish it once and for all or not to shoot — Cheol-gang moves quickly and seemingly fires a shot. Did Jeong-hyeok get hurt again or was it Cheol-gang? That is something that we will see in the finale week of 'Crash Landing on You'.
