NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: During a recent ‘Today’ episode, host Craig Melvin and Jacob Soboroff crash co-host Al Roker’s segment for a hilarious prank.

While the camera panned towards Roker recording the segment, Melvin and Soboroff had their own fun, mocking Roker as they started to mess around.

Although Roker found the prank funny, he didn’t stop himself from lashing at his co-hosts as he called them out over their ‘disturbing’ move.

This comes after Melvin playfully lashed out at Roker after his savage on-air comment during a fitness segment.

On Thursday, August 10 episode, hosts Melvin, Roker, and Sheinelle Jones welcomed Daily Thrive app founder, Vicky Justiz.

While the hosts laid on yoga mats to do some exercises, Roker passed a snarky comment to Melvin adding, “Well 'some producer' didn't make you wear one size too small.”

Melvin replied playfully slamming Roker, “You are such a jerk.”

Why did Craig Melvin and Jacob Soboroff crash Al Roker’s 'Today' segment?

In a clip, Roker was updating his ‘Today’ fans about how he keeps fruits and vegetables fresh for weeks.

As the camera panned on him, Melvin started to pretend as if he was patting Roker’s head while Soboroff pulled a funny face through his glasses.

However, it didn’t take long for Roker to catch on as the camera crew’s laughter gave it away. In a light-hearted twist, one of the crew members also joined the prank.

Meanwhile, Melvin continued to pat his head while laughing humorously questioning “What is that supposed to be?”

Roker chimed in, “How disturbing is this?” while adding an eerie sound.

Soboroff later posted the comical clip on his Instagram, playfully captioning it, “Nobody told me we were recording!”

The incident was followed by Roker’s light-hearing jab at Melvin during a live broadcast. Roker, Jones, and Melvin welcomed nutrition and health expert, Joy Bauer, who shared time-saving kitchen tips.

Roker couldn’t stop himself from making the segment more fun as he played a prank on Melvin towards the end. He slyly handed Joy a bottle of hand sanitizer, adding, “Hey, since we've been by Craig, you might want a little of this.”

Joy played along, saying, "Oh, I heard. Poor Craig."

Seizing the opportunity, Roker disclosed, "Craig's not feeling well, so..." as he shared the reason for the prank with the viewers.

Jones playfully formed an X shape with her fingers, and Melvin distanced himself from them, all in good-natured humor.

As Melvin was about to say what was next, Roker suddenly picked up the hand sanitizer and sprayed it on him.

Melvin exclaimed, “Stop it! God!” as he tried to get away from Roker.

Well, it seems like this was one fun segment!
