One of the plotlines to watch out for in AMC's upcoming spin-off, 'The Walking Dead: World Beyond' is the mysterious group known as the Civil Republic Military or CRM. Their first appearance came in Season 8 of 'The Walking Dead' which saw Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) being taken away from Alexandria in a chopper. The organization since then has had some screentime in 'Fear the Walking Dead' and will be integral in 'World Beyond.'

Much about CRM is still a closely-guarded secret. It's that sort of a build-up the Leviathan received ahead of Season 5 of 'Supergirl'. From what we know so far, the group is a matrix of three communities comprising of survivors of the zombie apocalypse. It does appear they are a more efficient and well-oiled unit with a fully-equipped arsenal. They have bases in Nebraska (the setting of 'World Beyond') and the logo is three interlocked circles that represent each of the three communities.

Julia Ormond's Lt. Col. Elizabeth Kubler is all set to play a key role in World Beyond. One of the other CRM members the audience has seen is Sydney Lemmon's Isabelle who spent some time with Althea (Maggie Grace) on 'Fear the Walking Dead'. The other member of CRM the audience knows is Jadis (Pollyanna McIntosh) instrumental in categorizing people according to their abilities and skill set levels. A or B was the type of classifications.

What we do know from the trailer of 'World Beyond' is that CRM is "bad people". Hope (Alexa Mansour) makes this open statement and that should give the fans an idea of what to expect from them. Isabelle's ruthless methods in 'Fear' was an inkling of what was to be expected of this shadowy organization and that adds to the intrigue factor ahead of 'World Beyond's debut.

With Comic-Con @ Home 2020 coming up, fans will be hoping to know more about the organization. 'The Walking Dead: World Beyond' panel is slated on Friday, July 24, at 2 pm PT and will be moderated by Chris Hardwick. The panel also features the cast comprising of Aliyah Royale, Alexa Mansour, Hal Cumpston, Nicholas Cantu, Nico Tortorella, Julia Ormond, and Joe Holt along with Gimple and showrunner/EP Matt Negrete.

'Comic-Con @ Home 2020 starts July 22 and is a five-day event.
