NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: On Wednesday, October 11, former President Donald Trump connected the recent Hamas attack on Israel to his unfounded allegations of fraud in the 2020 presidential election during his speech at a campaign event in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Additionally, Trump suggested the attack wouldn’t have happened if he were president, however, there is no evidence to support his allegations of election rigging, as per Radar Online.

Following this event, CNN reporter Kaitlan Collins called upon Adam Kinzinger, former congressman, and David Axelrod, former Senior Advisor of Barack Obama to share their comment on former POTUS' remarks.

However, the internet didn’t respond positively to Collins’ tweet as several slammed Trump for making everything about himself.

Kaitlan Collins reports on Donald Trump linking 2020 elections to Hamas attack

CNN reporter Kaitlan Collins took to X, formerly known as Twitter, and wrote, “In addition to his other comments on Israel, Trump claimed tonight in a speech that the attack wouldn't have happened "if the election wasn't rigged."

In her tweet, Collins shared a short clip of her interview with David Axelrod and Adam Kinzinger who dished upon the recent allegations from Trump.

In his West Palm Beach campaign event speech, Trump claimed, “And if the election wasn't rigged, there would be nobody even thinking about going into Israel. The election was rigged, very sadly rigged."

Speaking on Trump’s allegations, Kinzinger said, “Can I just say, Donald Trump was actually one of the weakest foreign policy presidents we've ever had. Now he talks stuff and he'll say things like, this would never happen if I was president.”

He continued, “Let's remember what he did with Vladimir Putin. Let's remember what he did when Vladimir Putin attacked eastern Ukraine again, he said this was brilliant after he was president. Let's keep in mind, that Iran attacked Saudi oil fields. Donald Trump did nothing. Iran shot down one of our drones the size of an airliner costing $200 million, Donald Trump didn't react and did nothing.”

“But for him to say that all this is because he's not president is not only just wrong, it shows that he's a man that is totally incapable of rising to a moment when we would actually love to have a former president show support for the current President as we're trying to unify against the common enemy of America,” he concluded.

Axelrod also chimed in adding, “Well Donald Trump, when this catastrophe began, the thing you could be sure of was that it was only going to be a matter of seconds before Trump would try and take political advantage of it and make grandiose claims like that. That's as predictable as the sun coming up in the morning. And I think hopefully, people will see it as such.”

Internet dubs Donald Trump a ‘sad man’

After CNN’s Kaitlan Collins candidly talked with Axelrod and Kinzinger about Donald Trump’s claims of ‘rigged’ 2020 elections, the internet quickly slammed ex-POTUS on his remarks.

One person wrote, “Nothing Trump says or does should be covered by MSM. If you stop giving a plant water & sunshine it drys up & shrivel away.”

Another slammed Trump saying, “Good god. This should make him unelectable, and one said, “Still regurgitating the same old lies he Knew weren’t true…”

A person simply trolled Trump, “Because everything going on in the world is about him,” and another had a similar opinion, “He’s such a sad sad man. God please #trumpnever again.”

One more commented, “Frumpy lies all the time, and this war has been planned for 2 years. He always turns things around and makes it about him. He LOST, and many people lost their lives viciously!”
