'Chicago PD' Season 8 Episode 3: Will Ruzek and Kim reunite? Burzek fans hope they do, say 'the world needs it'

The duo had been in a relationship in the past and they were even going to be parents, but Burgess lost her child before birth when she was attacked by a criminal

Spoilers for 'Chicago PD' Season 8 Episode 3:

In NBC's 'Chicago PD' Season 8 Episode 3 'Tender Age' we see Adam Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger) and Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati) find a child in the middle of the street only to discover that her entire family had been murdered when they take her back to her home. Hailey Upton (Tracy Spiridakos), on the other hand, is asked by the FBI to go to New York. We were all hoping that Jay Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer) would stop Upton and tell her that he has feelings for her considering his ex-girlfriend had left him under the same circumstances. But on another note, we also got a lot of #Burzek in this episode - Adam Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger) and  Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati) spent some time together when working on a horrid case leaving fans wondering if they will reunite.

The duo had been in a relationship in the past and they were even going to be parents, but Burgess lost her child before birth when she was attacked by a criminal. This was obviously traumatic, but fans couldn't help but wonder while the duo took care of a little girl from the case, will old sparks fly. "HOW ARE THEY NOT TOGETHER?! I NEED it... My heart needs it... THE WHOLE WORLD NEEDS IT! #Burzek #ChicagoPD #OneChicago," wrote one fan. Another added, "I’m never getting over this #ChicagoPD #OneChicago #Burzek." Fans too went back to the good old days with one writing, "Burgess and Ruzek with this little girl really makes it hard not to wonder what might have been if Season 7 hadn't gone so wrong for them. #ChicagoPD." It was not hard to see that the #Burzek duo was hit hard. "I see what the writers was doing with all this having Ruzek and Burgess taking care of Makayla like it is their own. They were almost parent. #OneChicago #ChicagoPD," observed a fan.

Fans were pleading with the network to bring back the duo as a couple, some even asked for a baby asap. "With how good Burgess and Ruzek are with this little girl I need another bruzek baby ASAP plz #ChicagoPD," wrote one fan. Others wondered if the little girl might get a new home - "#ChicagoPD Burgess better adopt that baby. :(," wrote another fan. Another added, "I swear if Kim and Adam don’t eventually adopt Michaela... #chicagopd"

After the killers are caught, Burgess tells Ruzek that she realized she had the instincts to be a mother after all, despite not knowing it while she was pregnant. At that time, Burgess knew that she was a good cop, but doubted whether she would be a good mother.
