All we desire now is to welcome the warmth of Christmas with a celebration that can lighten our spirits. To pepper our lives with joy over movies, Hallmark has come up with an impressive lineup of films based on the cheerful season of Christmas. The movies will start running on the channel from October and shall continue till the year-end to our delight. Its impressive collection of movies has ‘Chateau Christmas’, a film evoking inspiration and reigniting a passion for the art of music.

The film, from its first appearance, looks like a blissful escape from doleful times of pandemic. It has characters who herald the message of finding their musings. These musings or we shall call, inspiration, is something we all need in these uncertain times. ‘Chateau Christmas’ releases Sunday, October 25, at 8 pm ET on Hallmark channel.

Plot

The official synopsis of the film reads, “Margot, a world-renowned pianist, returns to Chateau Newhaus to spend the holidays with her family and rediscover her passion for music. While there, her ex-boyfriend and former bandmate Jackson, convinces her to headline the annual Christmas Concert, and working together brings back all their old feelings.”

Merritt Patterson

Merritt Patterson (Hallmark)

Born in 1990, Merritt Patterson is a Canadian actress. She is popularly known for her roles Olivia on the mystery show ‘Ravenswood’ and Ophelia on E! network's television show ‘The Royals’. Besides, Patterson has also been featured as Cynthia Applewhite in Universal’s ‘Unbroken: Path to Redemption’. The actress has further guest-starred in episodes of many series like ‘Life Unexpected’, ‘Motive’, ‘The Art of More’ and ‘Supernatural’ to name some. She has previously appeared in many Hallmark channel original films like ‘Forever in my Heart’, ‘A Royal Winter’, ‘Wedding March 4: Something Old, Something New’ and ‘The Christmas Cottage’. In ‘Chateau Christmas’, the actress will essay the role of Margot.

Luke Macfarlane

Luke Macfarlane (Hallmark)

Born in 1980, Thomas Luke Macfarlane is a Canadian actor and singer. He is celebrated for essaying the role of Scotty Wandell on the ABC television drama ‘Brothers & Sisters’ (2006–2011). The actor is also known for role of RAC agent D'avin Jaqobis on the space television science fiction series ‘Killjoys’ (2015–2019). He has also appeared on Broadway theatre productions like ‘The Normal Heart’ and other plays like ‘The Busy World of Hushed, Where Do We Live and Juvenilia’. His other noteworthy theatre credits include ‘Reverberations at Hartford Stage’, ‘Sam Bendrix at the Bon Soir’ at the Pittsburgh City Theater, and the DC’s ‘The Normal Heart’. The actor landed his feature debut with director Bill Condon’s film ‘Kinsey’. Since then he has appeared in many series, including FX’s ‘Over There’, ‘Smash’, ‘Satisfaction’ and ‘Supreme Courtships’. In ‘Chateau Christmas’, the actor will portray the role of Jackson.
