LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Chaser' captivated audiences with its unique blend of sci-fi and character drama. Directed by Daniel Roemer, 'Chaser' is based on his short film 'The Select Fit'.

The eight-episode series follows Eddi Sebastian (Russ Russo), a down-on-his-luck film editor yearning for a better life. His world turns upside down when he discovers a mysterious software that allows him to edit the past 24 hours of his life.

This newfound power sets the stage for the show's central conflict: the allure of rewriting mistakes versus the unforeseen consequences of tampering with time.

Madness reaches a fever pitch in the final moments of 'Chaser.' Irritated by unsettling visions, Eddi stumbles into a confrontation with Gar Madden (Daniel de Weldon) and Anabel (Gia Bay) after waking up from the bed.

The scene itself becomes a metaphor for the broken and glitched reality Eddi has created – the world glitches around them, a chilling reflection of his tampering with time.

As the tension explodes, Gar pulls a gun on Eddi. But fate, or perhaps a glitch in the system, throws Eddi a lifeline. He sees the weapon malfunction and charges Gar, while the glowing blue stone is on the grass.

Eddi retrieves the blue stone, his eyes filled with newfound understanding. 'I should have done this long before,' he says, before shattering the stone with a resolute, 'What's done is undone.' The world around him shudders – the glitches cease, and time seemingly rewinds to its original course.

Gar shoots at Eddie again but Anabel throws herself in front of the bullet meant for Eddi. Witnessing the horrifying consequence of his actions, a sad realization hits Eddi.

After a while, we see Eddi seeking solace with Fien in Mansfield, a city in Ohio. A package arrives, its contents sending a jolt of terror through him – the package had the shattered pieces of the blue stone. He desperately attempts to dispose of them by draining them down the sink.

Eight weeks later, Eddi finds himself in California. He packs his belongings, a weary acceptance etched on his face. He searches for freelance editing work, a return to a semblance of normalcy. He reflects on life's imperfections, finally saying how the time should be lived like it is. Yet, a hint of the show's sci-fi intrigue remains.

In a post-credits scene, the discarded fragments of the blue stone faintly glow beneath the water in a city tunnel system. The final shot reads 'to be continued,' leaving a chilling question mark over Eddi's future.
