'Charmed' Season 2 fall finale: Will Maggie Vera's potential rejection of Parker's proposal lead him to embrace his demon side?

At the end of Season 1, we saw Parker struggling to contain his demon side, and so leaves Hilltowne in order to control that part of him. That was the last we saw of Parker Caine until now.

In the last episode of the 'Charmed' reboot on The CW, we finally see Parker Caine return to the show after his last appearance in the Season 1 finale. Parker has been the reboot's Cole contemporary, being half-demon, half-human, and in love with Maggie Vera, one of the Charmed Ones.

At the end of Season 1, we saw Parker struggling to contain his demon side, and so leaves Hilltowne in order to control that part of him. That was the last we saw of Parker Caine and at the beginning of Season 2, the Vera-Vaughn sisters and Harry relocated to Seattle -- where the Elders' Headquarters are located -- when (then-unknown) Dark Harry attacked the sisters.

This season, we also met Abigael, played by Poppy Drayton, who happens to be Parker's half-sister who is part demon. Though we met her as a witch in need, she soon turned out to be duplicitous when many secrets came to light and she tried to kill Macy. It was only later that she reveals that she is Alastair Caine's daughter. When Harry went into his subconscious to establish a connection with Dark Harry, and therefore figure out Macy's location, Abigael managed to escape.

So, in the last episode, when the Charmed Ones and Harry come across dryads that have been killed and the tree they had been protecting destroyed, the Charmed Ones immediately suspected Abigael. Though she did not do it, she leads Maggie to Parker. For Maggie and Parker, it was a sweet reunion. Parker tells her that he is trying to unite the demon factions so as to coexist with humans and witches and when Parker offers to take the truth serum, Maggie stops him, saying that she trusts him.

By the end of the episode, Parker asks Maggie to marry him after they spend the night together. We also learn that it was Parker's second-in-command that stole the magical fruit and that he has roped in Abigael for his dastardly plan.

In the promo for this week's episode and the season's fall finale, we see that Maggie is seriously contemplating the question, while her sister, Mel, tries to talk her out of it. And it looks by the end of the promo that Maggie will, in fact, say no to Parker.

Could this potential rejection send Parker over the edge and lead him to embrace his demon side? We think it's quite probable. After all, it seemed to be his love for Maggie that stopped him fully turning last season.

With Maggie's rejection, he could turn full demon and sincerely take on the demon overlord persona, working with his half-sister, Abigael, and Godric. Now that they have access to the magical fruits that can protect them against any magic, it would also most likely make them quite invincible.

'Charmed' airs on The CW on Friday nights. The second season's fall finale will air this Friday on December 6th.
