Eric Roberts, Montana Brown, Jo Wood part of cast for new series of Celebrity Island 2018 with Bear Grylls

The cast for Celebrity Island 2018 with Bear Grylls has been revealed and some of them have already walked out unable to take on the harsh condiitions.

Bear Grylls with Celebrity Island is going to return to Channel 4 for an exciting brand new series which will take place later on this year. This will be the third series of the survival reality show which is about celebrities being dropped off on an uninhabited island and made to survive. The stars will be sent to the island with just the clothes that they are wearing as well as a handful of basic tools which will help them survive in the upcoming four weeks. Earlier participants have included the likes of 'The Only Way Is Essex' stars Lydia Bright and Lucy Mecklenburgh, as well as Aston Merrygold and 'Coronation Street' star Ryan Thomas.

These are the contestants who have been confirmed for Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls: 

Pete Wicks 

Pete is a regular member on ITVBe's 'TOWIE' and was also romantically linked to his co-star Megan McKenna before they officially split up and decided to go their separate ways last year. He is currently linked to Shelby Tribble who had joined the show earlier on this year. The pair had to put their relationship plans on hold as Pete temporarily left The Only Way Is Essex to film for Celebrity Island.

Montana Brown

Montana Brown is a 'Love Island' 2017 contestant and revealed that she would be a part of Celebrity Island earlier this year. However, later on, she quit the show as she could not bear the testing experience. According to the Sun, an insider revealed, "It’s the toughest reality show out there and she was up against some incredibly difficult challenges, and she eventually decided she just couldn’t hack it, it was too hard for her, so she walked". 

Martin Kemp

The former 'EastEnders' actor and Spandau Ballet star will be appearing on this season of 'Celebrity Island'. Martin played Steve Owen on EastEnders for years and last year was a judge on BBC singing contest 'Let It Shine'.

Eric Roberts

Eric Roberts is all set to be this year's Hollywood addition to the reality Tv show. Roberts is the brother of the iconic and legendary actress, Julia Roberts and also the father of 'American Horror Story' and 'Wild Child' star Emma Roberts. He's also starred in The Dark Knight, King Of The Gypsies, Inherent Vice and legal drama Suits.

Anthony Ogogo

Ogogo is an Olympic boxer and is one out of the two sportsmen confirmed for this year's line-up.  Anthony has appeared on reality TV challenges before and made an appearance on Strictly Come Dancing in the year 2015. 

Jo Wood

Wood is a former model and TV star. She is also the former wife of the 'Rolling Stones' legend, Ronnie Wood.  The 63-year-old was the last woman standing while filming Celebrity Island after some of her fellow co-stars quit the show. 

Roxanne Pallett

She is best known for her role as Jo Sugden on ITV soap Emmerdale. It is reported that halfway through the filming of Celebrity Island, Roxanne was struggling a lot and chose to walk out of filming. 

James Cracknell

James will be the second athlete on the show and is joining fellow Olympian Anthony Ogogo on Celebrity Island.  The star had suffered from a major brain injury after he was hit by a petrol tanker while he was cycling as part of a cycle, row, run and swim from Los Angeles to New York in 2010.

Paris Lees

Lees is a journalist and a transgender activist and has been confirmed for the 2018 edition of Celebrity Island. Lees also left the show halfway while filming along with her co-stars Roxanne and Montana "in crisis". 

Saleyha Ahsan

Many will know her for her work on  BBC Two's Trust Me I'm A Doctor. She is currently working as an A&E doctor in Bangor Hospital and is also a former British Army Captain.
