'Celebrity Call Center': All you need to know about RHOC stars Heather and Terry Dubrow's beautiful love story
NBC's 'Celebrity Call Center' gives a tremendous opportunity for fans and followers to receive advice from their favorite celebrities. The first episode of the show premiered on July 13. The celebrity guests donned their headsets and answered many questions from the public. The first episode of the show featured two celebrity couples — 'The Real Housewives of Orange County' star Heather with husband Terry Dubrow and Akbar Gbaja-Biamila with Olympic gymnast Laurie Hernandez.
Right from questions related to mother in laws to cheating boyfriends, the celebrity couples answered them all. Answering one of the questions related to parenting, Terry Dubrow said, "For some reason, kids don't feel comfortable. So you have to look to yourself. Are you creating an environment in which they could get comfortable coming out so that they can live the life that they are supposed to live?"
Terry who himself is a father of four kids also gave advice on "parenting goals". He said, "Imagine that they are struggling, they have an issue that's preventing them from being happy, that's probably giving them a lot of anxiety... if your goal as a parent — as it should be — is to have happy, well-grounded, stable children, then what could you or should you have done?"
Known as the "power couple" of the silver screen, Heather and Terry Dubrow have been married for 21 years. Here is a look at their beautiful love story.
How did they meet?
Heather revealed in an interview that she met Terry when she was 27. She asked one of her friend's boyfriend if he knew any Jewish doctors that he could introduce her to. And then, soon they went on a double date. In an interview with The Daily Dish, she said "He wasn't really my type, but you know, I was like, 'We'll see'," Terry was 37 when he met Heather. In the interview, Heather described Terry's first impression on her saying "he had dark hair, [he] didn't dress well, [and,] you know, needed help as most men do." The couple then fell in love over lengthy conversations.
When did they get married?
After dating for almost three years, Terry and Heather tied the knot in 1999. The two have been married for 21 years now. In an interview with Too Fab, Heather gave relationship advice saying "You have to know how to fight. You have to know how to make up. You have to know when to let things go because, sometimes, keeping peace is more important than being right. And you have to have date night!
When they overcame 'bad' times together?
Back when Heather lived her life out loud on RHOC, it was Terry who convinced her that the show is the right space for her. The couple faced many difficulties during RHOC, as their fights on the show increased with each passing day.
While viewers watched their marital struggles on the show, the couple faced a really hard time staying together. In an interview with The List, Heather revealed "I think it was on our third season, we were fighting. I mean, we were just fighting a lot and it wasn't like us," she said about what it felt like to share her marital life with the world. Even after so many fights, the couple stood strong and learned how to make their relationship work.
When they had kids?
Heather and Terry Dubrow have four kids together. Twins Nicholas and Maximillia were born in 2003, Katarina in 2006 and the youngest is Collette, who was born in 2010. Last year, when the couple celebrated their twins' 16th birthday, Heather took the opportunity and shared some love on Instagram for Terry, She posted an after-party video from the birthday party, in which the couple was seen dancing and singing together, alongside she wrote "@drdubrow I LOVE YOU. You're still the one... FOREVER."
