July 23 episode of 'Cannonball' saw participation by a 21-year-old stay-at-home dad who came to the show on a whim. He revealed that he was inspired to participate in the show only because of his love for taking on dares. He further added that daredevilry is something that he's always up for and his wife pushed him to participate in this competitive series given the nature of the challenges.

He was unaware that there was prize money attached to it, meaning that money was not his driving force or the reason for him coming on the show. His pure love for adventure is what helped him win a whopping $10,000 after he smashed all records and ranked at the top of the leaderboard in the final challenge.

Each episode of Cannonball sees participation from a number of athletes. There is a total of five challenges and at the end of each, the lowest ranking athletes are removed and only the Top 4 get a chance to participate in the final challenge. This episode saw a number of interesting athletes take up the challenges. One was Gabrielle Smith who went by the title Pineapple Enthusiast. Her unmatched love for the tropical fruit extended beyond her plate and she was seen prancing around in the episode in a pineapple costume and she also boasted of a tattoo on her ankle dedicated to her love for it.

Sarah Lipes, 19, was a participant as well and she loved '80s music with a passion. Her performance across all the five challenges on the episode was impressive and she was among the top two athletes on the show tonight. Sports journalist Jenn Lamonca was also among the top four athletes on the show. She admitted to being extremely competitive, to a point that her boyfriend had to stop playing board games with her. Her participation in the episode was fuelled by a desire to be written about by other sports journalists. Dodgeball player Alex Claud, Army man Sergeant Aaron Pina and actor VitoAngelino Kaiewe were also a part of the episode.

'Cannonball' is hosted by Michael 'The Miz' Mizanin and Rocsi Diaz and it airs every Thursday night on USA Network at 8 pm ET.
