CANNES, FRANCE: Martin Scorsese's 'Killers of the Flower Moon' has reportedly received the longest-standing ovation ever at the Cannes Film Festival on Saturday, May 20. The eagerly anticipated version of David Grann's 'Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI' stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro Along with Jesse Plemons and rising star Lily Gladstone.

Theatergoers on the French Riviera were interested in the three-hour, twenty-six-minute drama that depicts a dark, generally neglected period of American history. The audience was so enthralled that they quickly stood up to after watching the movie longer than 'Titanic' and applauded for nine minutes.

'Movie is almost twice as good as Indiana Jones'

People who witnessed the premier reacted on social media with a user calling it, "This is Cinema !!" A much-awaiting fan of Scorsese's mentioned, "This is the first movie I've been truly excited for in a really long time." "Cinema is back!" tweeted another user. Another user wrote, "That means the movie is almost twice as good as Indiana Jones." One person wrote,"How was the movie? It was excellent. Scorsese even captured some of our humor.
