Travel Channel's new show 'Buried Worlds with Don Wildman' is about just that — venturing into terrifying new territory to explore the darkest mysteries and secrets that mankind has harbored since time immemorial.

Release date

'Buried Worlds with Don Wildman' (Travel Channel)

'Buried Worlds with Don Wildman' premieres on June 8 at 9/8c on Travel Channel. The series comprises seven hour-long episodes and a two-hour special for the finale, which airs on July 27 at 8/7c. 

Plot

Don Wildman travels to Eastern Europe and various other locations across the world to explore some of the darkest mysteries known to mankind. He joins in on taboo rituals, encounters the paranormal, and even unlocks deadly curses while uncovering the truths to the world's most sinister secrets. He heads to some remote regions of Peru, Haiti, Bulgaria, and more visiting infamous sites of the paranormal and supernatural, tracking alleged lingering ghosts, devilish demons, vampires, zombies and witches burned at the stake.

He even witnesses some deadly practices that have accompanied dark legends for ages and gains first-hand experience. He scours out occult objects hidden by the Nazis in Germany in Poland, and journeys to the coast of Peru, to a site believed to be where the world's largest mass human sacrifices take place that has ever been televised before).

Don Wildman (Travel Channel)

Wildman is a long-time host on Travel Channel, known for his shows 'Mysteries at the Museum and Beyond the Unknown',  'Weird Travels', 'Off Limits' and 'Monumental Mysteries.' A passionate history enthusiast and adventurer, he has carried out a variety of on-screen investigations exploring some of the world's greatest legends and lore. While he originally wanted to follow in his father's footsteps and become a school teacher, he later decided to take on acting as a career. He trained as an actor at The Drama Studio in London.
