'Bulletproof' Season 2 has finally begun airing in the US and we're all set to see Aaron Bishop (Noel Clarke) and Ronnie Pike (Ashley Walters) take things to the next level. But even as the boys prepare for their biggest assignment yet, they may be stepping into deeper waters than they thought. After a risky mission in Episode 1, Bishop and Pike are now officially in with Mikey Markides (Ben Tavassoli). They're going to try to slowly make their way deeper into the Markides family's criminal empire but there are already hints that this might be a lot more dangerous than the boys think.

Mikey has already revealed his psychopathic side in Episode 1, burning Monroe's (Jason Maza) face and torturing him just for kicks. That's not the sort of person you want to be around for extended periods and it's only a matter of time before the boys manage to tick him off so bad he comes after them. And that's just Mikey. We're not even getting into the rest of the family, who are all clearly hardened criminals. The boys will be meeting Mikey's uncle Alex Markides (Stavros Zalmas) before long and he already seems like a pretty ominous figure.

Meanwhile, the rest of the team has their own problems to deal with. The synopsis teases that the new recruits Scarlett "Scooch" Hailton (Olivia Chenery) and Paige Pennington (Lucie Shorthouse) are going to be investigating a gruesome death while the boss, Sarah Tanner (Lindsey Coulson) struggles with her theft of evidence money. Tanner's storyline is something we're especially interested in as it brings out one of the more serious issues that police officers face around the world. When salaries don't cover necessary expenses, it's inevitable that people will make mistakes like Tanner's and we really want to see where that particular story is going.

Here's the synopsis for 'Bulletproof' Season 2 Episode 2: "Tension mounts as Pike and Bishop are drawn deeper into the Markides family; new recruits to the unit investigate the grisly death of a young girl; Tanner stresses over her decision to steal drug money to fix a problem in her personal life."

'Bulletproof' Season 2 airs Wednesdays at 9 pm ET on The CW.
