'Bull' Season 5 Episode 7 Spoilers: Will Benny rethink his commitment to TAC after running for DA?

Spoilers for 'Bull' Season 5 Episode 7

Things are getting tricky for Benny Colon (Freddie Rodriguez) on 'Bull'. Since the beginning of the season, it has been teased that we might not see much of Benny, as he might be running for DA. In Episode 2, he was offered to run for DA, which makes him contemplate leaving the TAC. In the upcoming episode, this will be dealt with more effectively, as Benny might have to finally choose what he really wants to do. 

The synopsis for Episode 7 reads: "Bull and Benny mount a difficult federal trial defense for a young mother accused of aiding and abetting her extremist husband in an act of domestic terrorism; Benny's commitment to TAC complicates his burgeoning political career."

Till late, Benny has been mentoring Chunk (Christopher Jackson), a newbie as compared to him. In the previous episode, Chunk handled a case of medical malpractice for the first time. Chunk was trying to help a doctor who was sued for the same. It was a tough case to crack, as the doctor was known to be somewhat of a rebel and making decisions on her own terms, rather than caring about the welfare of her patients.

Doctor Kinsey made a difficult decision as she had to choose between saving two patients. Benny teaches Chunk how to throw the "bank shot", and not be over-confident in this case. After some lucky guesses and admonishing by Bull (Michael Weatherly), he wins the case. Though to be fair, it was Benny who made a crucial observation that saved the day. 

'Bull' features Michael Weatherly as Dr Jason Bull in a drama, inspired by the early career of Dr Phil McGraw, the founder of one of the most prolific trial-consulting firms of all time. Smart as a tick, and charming, Bull combines psychology, human intuition, and high-tech data to understand jurors, attorneys and witnesses.

In the latest season, 'Bull' struggles with his personal life as he balances fatherhood along with his renewed relationship with Izzy Colon (Yara Martinez), his ex-wife. In the next episode, we'll hopefully know more about Bull's impending nuptials with Izzy.

'Bull' airs on Mondays at 10 pm on CBS.
