‘Bridgerton’ Season 3: Netflix announces production, thrilled #Polin fans say ‘can’t wait’

Netflix revealed a 30-second video to announce that the filming for the new season has begun

Netflix's 'Bridgerton' is arguably a perfect show that blends history, controversial drama, budding love angles, love triangles, fantasy and family bonding. The show has a cult fandom across the globe. ‘Bridgerton’ Season 3 has officially started filming and the news has sent die-hard fans into a frenzy who "can’t wait" to see the new season unfurl.

In the highly-awaited season, fans will see the blooming romance between Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) and her long-time crush Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) take the spotlight. Season 3 is based on bestselling author Julia Quinn's, ‘Romancing Mister Bridgerton,’ which is the fourth novel in her ‘Bridgerton’ series.

Netflix dropped an exciting scoop announcing the filming of the new season on its Twitter handle. In the video, Coughlan declares, "Bridgerton season 3 filming has officially begun," as she sat in a carriage dressed in her regency clothes. She asks Newton, "You coming in?" to which he replies, "Let’s go," before stepping into the carriage himself. 

As soon as this video was revealed by the makers, fans started gushing about the new season. 
 
“Can’t wait!! So happy they’re already filming! #Bridgerton,” said a fan.

“Luke and Nicola looks so gorg omg Bridgerton S3 leads are already SERVING!!! i can't wait to see them please give them to us soon #polin #Bridgerton,” added another.

“Don’t tease us with the carriage scene!!!!!!!!,” a fan added. “The carriage. Her hair. His hair. Omg I don’t know how to process this. #Bridgerton #Polin,” exclaimed a fan.

“Yes the carriage scene. Penelope is looking gorgeous with this new look #Bridgertonseason3,” a fan shared.

“POLIN IS COMING BACK TO ME YES!!!,” another fan added. “That nod to the 4th book with the main couple being in the carriage!! such a tease AAAAAAAAAAAAAA,” mentioned a fan.

“Being the only book i read, OF COURSE they tease penelope and colin in a carriage. bc of course you would,” a fan quipped.

“PENELOPE LOOKS SO PRETTY OMGGG,” a fan shared.

“Happy tears… It’s time to Romance Mr. Bridgerton… You step into that CARRIAGE Colin! And do it now!! #Bridgertonseason3 #Bridgerton,” noted a fan.

In an interview Netflix Tudum back in May 2022, actress Nicola Coughlan spilled some beans on being the main lead in the third season. Talking about how this season being all about #Polin makes sense, Coughlan added, “I feel like if you see Penelope fawning over this boy for another season, you’ll be like, ‘Get it together! Come on, move on and get over it. Jess has talked to Luke and I through the season, and I think people are going to be really obsessed. I think book fans are going to be happy.”
 
She also gave a teaser of the intriguing twists and surprises in store for fans and shared, “From what I have heard, I think people are going to be extremely pleased.”

There’s no official release date for the 'Bridgerton' Season 3 since the production and filming for the third season have just started. It is very much possible that the new season could drop globally sometime in 2023.
