LONDON, ENGLAND: Netflix's popular historical romance 'Bridgerton' has returned with Season 3 on May 16, 2024. Part 1 comprising of four episodes brings the spotlight on Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) who embarks on a mission to find a suitor.
Penelope's marital prospects are slim and therefore, Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton), out of the goodness of his heart, decides to help her discreetly.
Why does Penelope Featherington walk out of the Ball in 'Bridgerton' Season 3 Episode 2?
At the ball, Colin persuades Penelope to talk to some of the prospects. Meanwhile, Eloise Bridgerton (Claudia Jessie) tells Cressida Cowper (Jessica Madsen) that Colin is helping Penelope find a husband this season.
So when Penelope is talking to Lord Remington, she is frowned upon by women at the Ball. As Eloise's gossip travels across the room, Penelope is hurt and embarrassed and she abruptly takes an exit from the event.
Is love brewing between Penelope Featherington and Colin Bridgerton in 'Bridgerton' Season 3?
As Penelope sits at her home, knowing that the world is gossiping about her, she gets an unexpected visit from Colin. While he just wants to make sure that his friend is okay, Penelope's bizarre request startles him.
Without putting much thought, Penelope shares that she brought this upon herself and may never have a chance at love in her life.
She begs Colin to kiss her as she believes that it would be her first and probably the last kiss. Though initially hesitant, Colin finally agrees and they both share a kiss.
The twist in their relationship sets the stage for further complications. Colin clearly wasn't interested in Penelope up until now when a kiss sparked some feelings inside him.
While Penelope thanks him for the kiss and goes back inside, Colin clearly looks stunned. Is he finally in love with her?
It is surely a hook point for the viewers to binge-watch further episodes.
