‘Briarpatch’ Episode 10: Allegra is forced to come full circle to bring justice to Felicity

Allegra Dill (Rosario Dawson) went to hell and back to track down her sister Felicity Dill’s (Michele Weaver) killer. However, instead of helping her achieve some sense of satisfaction, what the truth brought was more pain and unrest in her life which was already devastated. 

The previous episode of ‘Briarpatch’ saw Allegra and Jake Spivey  (Jay R Ferguson)  evade Clyde Brattle (Alan Cumming) and run into a man living in the middle of the desert, who reveals shocking details about the latest turns of events in Saint Bonifacio. Following her encounter with the known stranger, Allegra realizes there is more to the dirty game of politics than meets the eye and decides to avenge her sister by hook or by crook. 

Meanwhile, AD Singe through his secretly recorded conversation between Allegra’s trusted ally, the Senator and Brattle reveals that they are planning on getting rid of her ahead of the presidential campaign, as she’s now turned a liability in the politician’s eyes. And, Brattle couldn’t have been happier as he received a green light from the senator, easing his plans of taking her down. 

However, none of the other parties are aware of Allegra’s escape and what awaits them as she’s determined more than ever to put an end to the political issues that are crippling her hometown and people whose selfish desires cost Felicity’s life. 

The official synopsis for Episode 10 of ‘Briarpatch’ states, “Allegra decides to line them all up and knock them down in a special way that only she knows how to do.”

In the sneak peek, she and Jake are seen individually fighting Brattle’s men, while Gene Colder is on his way to get the latter. Allegra also says that the recording she acquired from Harold Snow’s (Timm Sharp) is her ticket to Colder (Brian Geraghty). 

The finale promises to make for an enthralling watch owing to each of the characters’ mission, driven by different reasons. 

However, what remains to be seen is if Allegra can alone face the dangers of the city that grapples with crime and politics, with powerful villains after her life. And, will Colder continue pursuing Jake or surprise us by joining hands with Allegra, for he killed the “love of his life” and Brattle couldn’t care less about the crooked cop’s sacrifices.

Also, we couldn’t wait to watch what Episode 10 has in store for the police chief Eve Raytek (Kim Dickens), who is working on her big plans to establish her career in politics.
