Brayden Bowers and Christina Mandrell accused of 'upstaging' Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist's 'The Golden Wedding' with surprise proposal
PALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA: Brayden Bowers of 'Bachelor in Paradise' proposed to his new girlfriend Christina Mandrell during the live marriage episode of 'The Golden Bachelor'. Brayden initially debuted on Charity Lawson's season of 'The Bachelorette,' where fans pegged him as the season's villain.
Now, fans continue to blast the star for attempting to grab the spotlight.
Even though he was loathed by the other guys on the program and many viewers, Bachelor producers nonetheless opted to place him on the most current season of 'Bachelor in Paradise'. Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist of 'The Golden Bachelor' married in a live ceremony on January 4. Jesse Palmer, the show's host, interviewed several cast members from previous seasons, including Brayden and Christina, before the big event. During their conversation, Jesse described the pair as "adorable," and they noted that their attire was synchronized.
It was also revealed that the pair met when Christina snuck into Brayden's social media direct conversations. In addition, Brayden opted to go to Tennessee to live with his new partner. He then proposed. He went on to say, "For the first time in my life, I feel like I found someone that I can be myself with unapologetically."
Christina, of course, shed a few tears when she answered, "Yes," and they kissed for the camera. Later in the live program, it was reported that Brayden called Gerry and Theresa for their blessing before proposing at the wedding.
Fans of 'The Bachelor' on X had a lot to say. One user wrote, "I KNOW THIS MAN DIDN’T JUST PROPOSE AT SOMEONE ELSE’S WEDDING." Another user chimed in, "Not Jesse doing damage control saying Brayden got permission…they saw our tweets ya’ll."
One user further wrote, "Brayden WOULD upstage someone’s wedding and propose… that is SO TACKY." A fourth person added, "My literal face when Brayden started his speech. My god!!!"
