After getting dropped from six music festivals over his controversial homophobic rant at the Rolling Loud Miami festival 2021, DaBaby recently performed at Hot 97’s Summer Jam festival and thanked them for extending their support at such a crucial time. The ‘BOP’ hitmaker followed his performance with another packed venue when he landed at the Boosie Badazz’s Boosie Bash over the weekend.

The 29-year-old rapper shared a video from the bash on his official Instagram video with close to 20 million followers. In the short clip, DaBaby can be seen performing in the middle of a crowd while standing on a deck as the security takes care of him. The video quickly broke the Internet as his loyal fans claimed that the rapper cannot be canceled adding that they made him bigger than he was.

DaBaby dubs himself ‘Live Show Killer’

The multiple Grammy-winning artist seemed more than elated at his recent performance which was clearly visible in his body language. Mirroring the sentiments, he had captioned the Instagram post as, “#LiveShowKillerrrrr. Had fun w/ y’all BR. #BoosieBash” adding emojis of fire and a black heart in the middle.

Speaking of DaBaby’s controversy, the rapper had apologized thrice on social media but had deleted one of his formal apologies later. He even dropped a song called ‘Whole Lotta Money (Freestyle)’ where he joked about getting canceled. While a few public figures like Sir Elton John, Madonna and Dua Lipa schooled him for his rant, rappers like Badazz Boosie and TI stood by him during the crisis. While extending his support to the Ohio native, Boosie recently stated, as reported by XXL, “It’s sad on how y’all trying to force this gay stuff on the world, it’s sad. How y’all tryin’ to ban artists, y’all sad, bro. In 10 years, it ain’t gon’ be normal for a kid to be straight. It’s sad, bro.”
