DaBaby, who dropped fresh music with his single ‘Red Light Green Light’ with stunning visuals on June 25, was trending heavily on Twitter over the weekend. However, the twist in the tale is, the ‘Suge’ hitmaker was not the hot gossip on the Internet for his song but for his unusual request to ask for a feature from the hip-hop heavyweight Jay-Z.

The 29-year-old rapper got trolled massively as it sparked hilarious reactions on the micro-blogging site. A lot of social media users also reminded him that his wish might never come true as he spoiled his relationship with his good friend Megan Thee Stallion, who for the unversed is signed to Jay-Z’s Roc Nation with a management deal. DaBaby and Stallion recently were in a Twitter feud over the former’s collaboration with Tory Lanez despite knowing he had shot her in the leg in July 2020.

What did DaBaby exactly say?

Taking it to his official Twitter a few hours after the release of his new song ‘Red Light Green Light’, the Grammy-nominated rapper expressed his desire to work with hip-hop icon Jay-Z. Sharing the tweet with his more than four million followers on Twitter, he asked, “Who I gotta talk to to get Jay-Z on a song?”  The Ohio native then soon got the meme fest started.

DaBaby might have got heavily trolled for his desire to collaborate with Jay-Z but we must not forget the rapper is also one of the headliners of the latter’s upcoming festival known as Made in America. Speaking of collaborations, DaBaby has earlier worked with renowned artists like Roddy Ricch, Lil Yachty, City Girls, Moneybagg Yo, and Quavo. DaBaby is also up for BET Awards this year with seven nods including Best Male Hip-Hop Artist, Album of the Year for ‘Blame It on Baby’, and a Viewer’s Choice Award.

‘He blew his chances', says Twitter

While a few dragged DaBaby over his unfortunate situation with Megan Thee Stallion, others trolled him for wishing the impossible. One user shared, “Loyalty about to do Dababy dirty because Jay Z ain’t doing s**t with him after the way he handled the Meg situation.” Another stated, “2 Chainz doesn't have a Jay Z feature man.  DaBaby can't get one before him!”

The next one posted, “You gotta make it before you get Jay Z. Megan gonna block that s**t.” Meanwhile, one noted, “And, Megan is under Jay Z’s management team. He blew his chances.” Another chimed in and asserted, “Talk to Megan and apologize then ask Pardi if you can su**k his D**k.. if he says yes then I’ll contact Beyoncé and tell her to tell Jay z to give me a call.” One pointed out, “Jay z is predictable now a days he just raps about crypto currencies and his business expansions.. lol”, whereas, another user concluded, “I’ve been thinking about Jay Z on DaBaby beats for hours and it’s still hilarious to me.”
