'Bob Hearts Abishola' Season 1 Episode 10: Bob fights for Abishola and the unlikely pairing of Dottie and Uncle Tunde has fans gushing
In this week's episode of 'Bob Hearts Abishola', Bob finally goes to fight for Abishola while she is on her date with Chukwuemeka at a Red Lobster. Bob tells a metaphor saying Abishola can have ice cream for breakfast if she wants.
Thankfully, Bob's tactics work as Abishola shows up the next day at Bob's home for her part-time job caring for his mother, Dottie, with a pint of ice cream, much to Bob's joy. However, all credit for this goes to two people fans would have least expected to pair up and ship Bob and Abishola -- Abishola's uncle Tunde, and Bob's mother, Dottie.
After Uncle Tunde voiced his support for Bob in the last episode, Auntie Olu kicked him out and so, Tunde goes to seek refuge in Bob's house. When Dottie shouts for help to go to the bathroom, it is Tunde who wakes up first and opens her door -- terrifying her.
However, Uncle Tunde and Dottie soon become fast friends -- eating breakfast together, and playing cards. Most importantly, they scheme together to make sure Bob knows where Chukwuemeka is taking Abishola for their date.
Fans loved the pairing of Dottie and Uncle Tunde. One fan tweeted, "I hope this friendship continues to grow. This storyline between Uncle Tunde, Dottie and Auntie Olu was wonderful fun," while another wrote, "I’m enjoying tonight’s new episode of #BobHeartsAbishola, especially Dottie and Abishola’s uncle playing cards together. Great episode!" Another fan jokingly tweeted, "Tunde finally met Dottie and nearly gave her another stroke."
Of course, towards the end of the episode, Dottie even helps Tunde and Olu patch up their relationship by making them realize that they missed each other. One viewer tweeted, "It’s so sweet Dottie gives advice to Abishola’s aunt and uncle! #BobHeartsAbishola @CBS."
The midseason finale of the first season of 'Bob Hearts Abishola' will air next Monday, December 16th.
