'Blue Bloods' Season 11: Meet Donnie Wahlberg, Tom Selleck, Whoopi Goldberg and rest of the cast of CBS cop drama

CBS’ police procedural drama, ‘Blue Bloods’, is back for its eleventh season. The show that focuses on the fictional Reagan family, an Irish Catholic family in New York City with a history of work in law enforcement, will see Frank go head-to-head with City Council Speaker Regina Thomas over protests against police brutality. At the same time, Jamie and his newish-found nephew, Joe Hill, will work together to locate Danny and Baez when they go missing while searching for a killer, while Eddie will step up to help an abrasive woman find her father’s body after it was misplaced during the outset of the pandemic.

While fans of the show are already well-versed in the characters and the actors playing them, for the newer viewers, let’s take a look at the show’s cast.

Donnie Wahlberg as Detective Daniel ‘Danny’ Fitzgerald Reagan

The 51-year-old American singer, songwriter, rapper, actor, record producer, and film producer is best known for his roles in films like the ‘Saw’ franchise, ‘Zookeeper’, ‘Dreamcatcher’, ‘The Sixth Sense’, ‘Righteous Kill’, and ‘Ransom’. He is a founding member of the boy band New Kids on the Block, and the brother of actor Mark Wahlberg.

Bridget Moynahan as ADA Erin Reagan

The 49-year-old American actress and model is known for her role in the police drama ‘Blue Bloods’. Her film roles include ‘Coyote Ugly’, ‘Serendipity’, ‘The Sum of All Fears’, ‘The Recruit’, ‘I, Robot’, ‘Lord of War’, ‘Grey Matters’, ‘Prey’, ‘Noise’, ‘Ramona and Beezus’, ‘John Wick’, ‘The Journey Home’, and ‘John Wick: Chapter 2’.

The 75-year-old American actor and film producer is best known for playing private investigator Thomas Magnum in the television series ‘Magnum, P.I.’. He also famously appeared in a recurring television role as Monica Geller's love interest Dr. Richard Burke on ‘Friends’. His film roles include ‘Three Men and a Baby’, ‘Quigley Down Under’, ‘Mr. Baseball’, and ‘Lassiter’, among others.

Whoopi Goldberg as Council Speaker Regina Thomas

The 65-year-old American actor, comedian, author, and television personality barely needs an introduction. Goldberg is one of only 16 entertainers to have won an Emmy Award, a Grammy Award, an Academy Award, and a Tony Award. She has been a host of the daytime talk show ‘The View’ since 2007. On the silver screen, she is perhaps best known for her roles in titles such as ‘Sister Act’, ‘Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit’, ‘For Colored Girls’, ‘How Stella Got Her Groove Back’, and ‘Ghosts of Mississippi’.

The 43-year-old American actor is known for her work on television soap operas, aside from her recurring role on ‘Blue Bloods’. Her prominent TV roles include shows like ‘General Hospital’, ‘Miracles’, ‘The Young and the Restless’, ‘Mental’, and ‘Against the Wall’.

Vanessa Ray as Officer Edit ‘Eddie’ Janko-Reagan

The 39-year-old American actor and singer is known for her role as CeCe Drake in ‘Pretty Little Liars’, Jenny in ‘Suits’, Teri Ciccone in ‘As the World Turns’, and Maggie ‘Rocker’ Sheldon in ‘White Collar’, aside from her role in ‘Blue Bloods’. Her film roles include ‘The Rumperbutts’, ‘Mutual Friends’, and ‘The Last Day of August’, among others.

Sami Gayle as Nicole ‘Nicky’ Reagan-Boyle

The 24-year-old American actor is best known for playing Nicky Reagan in ‘Blue Bloods’. Her other notable film roles include ‘Candy Jar’, ‘Noah’, ‘Vampire Academy’, ‘Stolen’, ‘Detachment’, and ‘The Congress’. Gayle also featured in the 2007 Broadway production of Dr. Seuss' ‘How the Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical’.

The show also stars Andrew Terraciano, Tony Terraciano, Abigail Hawk, Robert Clohessy, and Steven R. Schirripa, among others. 

‘Blue Bloods’ will be back on the small screen with season 11 starting on Friday, December 4, at 10 p.m. ET/PT, only on CBS.
