'Blindspot' Season 5 Episode 5: Jane talks Patterson through her own surgery, fans say she is 'incredible'
Jane Doe-Weller (Jaime Alexander) has nerves of steel. What does the woman "not" know? In the previous episode, Jane Doe gets shot and watches as Kurt Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) is taken away. Despite being shot in the stomach and barely able to stand, she manages to stumble back to the bunker. At first, she tells her worried team that the wound is only a 'graze', but obviously, it's more serious than that.
The FBI fugitives get to work immediately as they realize they have to perform a surgery on her. Yes, that whole team seems to be in possession of every possible skill and power on this planet. At first, Patterson (Ashley Johnson) asks Tasha (Audrey Esparza) to give blood, but Tasha tells her that she is pregnant. Tasha still offers to give blood, but Jane won't hear of it. Finally, Rich Dotcom says he 'knows a blood guy', and goes to get blood for Jane.
And then Jane does the most supercool thing ever, she talks Patterson through her own surgery. Like we said at the beginning, what does Jane not know?
Fans are in awe of Jane, and wrote, "I can barely pull a splinter out of my own finger without grimacing. And here's Jane walking Patterson through her own surgery #DrDoe #Blindspot," a fan tweeted.
"Jane is really conducting the surgery being performed on her. this woman is incredible!!" another wrote.
"Surgery. Because flying helicopters and airplanes, speaking all the languages in the world, firing any gun in existence, knowing every fighting technique there is was not enough for Jane," another noted.
Other fans were just glad to see the love and bonding in the team. "Patterson can do anything they really are a family taking care of each other like that and Jane she is so badass walking her through the surgery like did I miss something she sounded just like a doctor," a fan wrote.
The surgery was successful and Kurt Weller managed to return home, despite being in a drug-induced haze. These FBI fugitives seem to be immortals, don't they?
