Starting a life together is an exciting time for any couple, especially if you are preparing to move to a new home. Blake Milness, Maurice Turner and their adorable basset hound, Lance have planned just that for their next phase in life.
Unfortunately, what the couple did not anticipate was just how daunting a task it would be — renovating a house and planning a wedding simultaneously. Their house is a 1917 historic home in Highland Park which is in dire need of some fixing.

While the couple did go in guns blazing, armed with a sizeable budget of $100,000 and a timeline of six to 12 months, what they did not anticipate was just how much work building a home takes, even if it is just renovations. 18 months into the project and the couple realized that they need to bring in an expert to fix and undo the damage.
And when in Detroit, who better to turn to than Nicole Curtis? Curtis, in her classic go-getter fashion, flipped this house around in no time, restoring it to its former glory while giving it a much-needed update, allowing the couple to finally focus on their wedding.

Blake Milnes is a general manager at a car dealership
Having studied in automative marketing, Milnes is currently the general manager at Milnes Ford, as per his LinkedIn. The company happens to be a local car dealership that deals with buying and selling Ford vehicles in particular.
Maurice Turner has a twin brother
Renovating a home and planning a wedding sounds like it would definitely dent a hole in anyone's pocket. Luckily, during the entire home renovation process, Turner revealed that they'd been staying with his brother, Marcus. Turns out, Marcus and Maurice are actually twins. How cool is that!
They are dog parents
By the looks of their Instagram, the couple have three dogs, out of which Lance has an Instagram account. Leo and another dog, whose name isn't mentioned, are part of the family too.
There's a good chance these could be Marcus' dogs, but that clearly doesn't stop Turner and Milness from loving them unconditionally. Talk about adorable!
