Can Blackpink's Lisa beat Justin Bieber? Singer hits 5 million subscribers on YouTube, Blinks are 'proud of her'

It's not uncommon to hear news about K-pop idols trending amongst their fans and worldwide via Twitter, but this time, the special mention goes to Blackpink's Lisa. South Korean artists can trend for just a new photo on Instagram or a small announcement, but Lisa is getting a whole lot of love on the social media platform for her latest achievement.

Lisa reached the five-million mark, and counting, for subscribers on YouTube on February 2. Lisa's YouTube account, which is named Lilifilm Official, was launched in October 2018. If are looking at her in an international frame of popularity, her new achievement is an impressive milestone worth celebrating.

Can she beat Justin Bieber?

Justin Bieber's account is at the top of the list of artists with the most subscriptions at 60.7 million. For solo artists, Marshmello is at 51.2 million, Ed Sheeran is at 46.7 million, and Ariana Grande falls closely behind with 46.6 million. Keep in mind that these artists created their accounts over a decade ago, barring Marhsmello, who created his in 2015.

Meanwhile, Blackpink's account, created in 2016, has over 56.8 million subscribers. Blinks certainly know how to follow their favorite group and its members.

Lisa joins Blackpink member Jennie, who also recently hit the 5 million subscribers milestone, as reported by Koreaboo.

‘She deserves this and more’ 

Lisa's fans are in a whirlwind of excitement over her new achievement as they share celebratory tweets. A US Blackpink fandom channel says, "Lisa's YouTube channel has reached 5 MILLION subscribers! Congratulations Lisa and so deserved! HAPPY 5 MILLION SUBSCRIBERS LISA #Lilifilm5MSubs #리사 #LISA@BLACKPINK."

One fan tweeted: "Congrats to the best dancer, Lisa! Hoping for more dance covers," while another wrote in all caps, "HAPPY 5M SUBS TO MY FAVORITE DANCER, I' SO PROUD OF YOU LISA, YOU DESERVE EVERYTHING."
