Blackpink’s Lisa, deemed as the global superstar for her iconic dance moves along with her raps and stage presence, has been attacked by racist views of some users as Blinks claim that the singer was disrespected dragging her home country Thailand’s name and more.

Angry fans take it to Twitter to demand ‘Respect Lisa’.

Blackpink’s Lisa, originally from Thailand debuted with YG Entertainment’s Blackpink in 2016 along with Jennie, Rose and Jisoo. The K-pop idol joined YG Entertainment as a trainee in 2011 when she moved to South Korea to prepare for her debut.

Since then, along with her globally popular stardom as one of the most famous K-pop stars, Lisa has also ventured into modeling and various other entertainment gigs including her own YouTube channel ‘Lilifilm Official’ which showcases a different side of the 23-year-old K-pop star and reveals her behind-the-scene moments, travel vlogs and more.

Was Blackpink's Lisa a victim of racism?

Recently, some Blankpink fans aka Blinks noticed a few screenshots of chats where Lisa was being allegedly attacked for her home country Thailand and a number of offensive remarks about the K-pop stars were exchanged. Blinks shared the snapshots of the chats, condemning such heinous acts and claiming that Lisa deserves better than these racist attacks against her. A fan claimed, “They r making Thai people to hate on their bias and Insulting someone on RACISM r really a shameful talk nowadays this 2021 not 1937or something they really need to grow up if they want that their bias to get Love if they behave like this many people will blame Jennie so grow up!”



 

Fan reactions

After the racist remarks surfaced, Blinks have been taking to Twitter to express outrage and demand respect for the singer. A fan said, “To the strongest woman I know. We love you. You are loved by a lot of people all over the world. We will support you and the whole @BLACKPINK. STOP RACISM. #RespectLisa!” Another shared, “a hardworking inspiring bub deserves only good things in the world! #RespectLisa WE LOVE YOU LISA” A similar tweet said, “THIS WOMAN RIGHT HERE DESERVES RESPECT! STOP THE HATE! STOP DISCRIMINATION! STOP RACISM! #RespectLisa we love you, lisa! we will stand by you at all cost!”



 



 



 

Blackpink recently had their first virtual concert ‘The Show’ which received praises from the global fans for setting a new standard. Reportedly, Lisa will also make her solo comeback soon. Blinks can’t wait for the singer’s solo debut as they anticipate more details about it.

YG Entertainment hasn’t responded to the matter yet.
