'Black Lightning' Season 3 Episode 13 Preview: Jefferson finally takes the fight home to the Markovians
'Black Lightning' Season 3's 'Book of Markovia' storyline is finally heading into its conclusion with Jefferson Pierce/Black Lightning (Cress Williams) and his team headed to Markovia for a final showdown. The stakes have never been higher and literally everyone Jefferson cares about could die if things go wrong.
In the penultimate episode of this story arc, Black Lightning put together a team that's not officially called the Outsiders even though it has some of the most iconic Outsiders team members including Geo-Force/Brandon (Jahking Guillory), Grace Choi (Chantal Thuy) and Jefferson's daughter Anissa Pierce/Thunder (Nafessa Williams). His other daughter, Jennifer Pierce/Lightning (China Anne McClain), is also on the team so you know Jefferson is clearly going to be on edge.
The team's mission is simple: Rescue Jefferson's ex-wife Dr. Lynn Stewart (Christine Adams) from Markovian captivity. Unfortunately, the Markovians have their own metahuman powerhouse.
Wayne Brady of 'Whose Line Is It Anyway?' and 'How I Met Your Mother' fame is guest-starring in the episode as Gravedigger, a former American soldier who defected to Markovia to escape the evils of segregation and help build a metahuman homeland. He's basically a super-soldier and at least one version of the character from the comics has powerful telepathic abilities so if he has all those powers on the show, things do not look good for the Pierce family.
Here's the official synopsis for the episode: "WAYNE BRADY (“WHOSE LINE IS IT ANYWAY?”) GUEST STARS IN THE EPISODE — Black Lightning (Cress Williams) and his team descend upon Markovia on a mission to rescue Lynn (Christine Adams) who finds herself in even more trouble when she meets Gravedigger (guest star Wayne Brady, “Whose Line Is It Anyway?”), a metahuman on the Markovian side. Nafessa Williams, China Anne McClain, James Remar, Damon Gupton, Marvin Jones III and Jordan Calloway also star. Salim Akil directed the episode written by Charles D. Holland & Asheleigh O. Conley."
'Black Lightning' Season 3 Episode 13 will air on The CW on February 10.
