‘Billions’ Season 5 Episode 8: Will Taylor betray Axe due to Mike? Here's what to expect from Showtime series
When it comes to binge-watching their favorite TV shows, rarely do fans like an untimely pause. Makers of ‘Billions’ — one of Showtime's most-watched series — gave a rude shock to fans when the seventh episode was billed as the "midseason finale." Cutting fans' joyride short, showrunner Brian Koppelman tweeted: "We all can’t wait to get back to work and finish the season when it’s safe. Hope you dig the show tonight." Now, there's one question on most minds: When will the new episode of ‘Billions’ premiere? While there doesn't seem any certainty on the date, owing to the coronavirus crisis, we can expect the production team to start shooting the remaining episodes only when the pandemic is over. It could even mean that the makers may come back with the second half or probably turn it into a new season in 2021.
By the end of Episode 7 titled ‘The Limitless S**t’, Bobby Axelrod (Damian Lewis) cannot bear Wendy Rhoades' (Maggie Siff) relationship with Nico Tanner (Frank Grillo). Taylor Mason (Asia Kate Dillon) spills details of their deal with Mike Prince (Corey Stoll) and Axe and Wags (David Costabile) are convinced that it would bite them in the back.
When Episode 8 comes back on Showtime, what can viewers expect from the show? In a new teaser promo, Mike comes to meet Axe and the latter tells him: "You made a mistake coming in here." Meanwhile, Wendy tells Taylor and Lauren Turner (Jade Eshete) to "beware", and Chuck is prepared to "take someone down", presumably his arch-rival Axe. However, the snippets don't say much about the storyline and fans are waiting to hear about it. One of the biggest doubts in fans' minds is: Will Taylor betray Axe and will Mike succeed in creating a rift between the two?
One Reddit fan speculated: "Apparently, Episode 7 will bring the lawsuit to the ground. Axe won't have any more issues since he's at his desk doing what he knows best at Episode 8. BlackJack is also pretty pleased with himself in the sidelines, watching Chuck announcing his run for Governor. All is right in the world indeed... but apparently, Spyros and Dolar Bill are going off-script and Taylor isn't so happy with Axe return. Let's see what's what. And could Dake make a comeback from losing that lawsuit? Don't know but surely want to find out!"
Many are absolutely disgusted at the fact that they may have to wait until 2021. "@Showtime I bought the monthly subscription for the purpose of watching billions. Where is episode 8? Come on you're late!!!" one said and another wrote, "#billions episode 8 is another casualty of COVID 19. Where is it?" As more information comes out, we will update this space. For now, if you're missing ‘Billions’, binge-watch all the previous seasons of the Showtime show on Hotstar or the Showtime App.
