‘Billions’ Season 5 Episode 5: Fans are convinced Wendy will ‘f**k’ Tanner, will Axe be jealous of her affair?
Relationships are moving as fast as lightning on ‘Billions’ and there's a lot to catch up on in Episode 5 ‘Contract’. Apart from the constant power battles, there are sparks and intimacy between characters and it goes without saying that the lines between professional and personal spaces are blurred.
Just last week, there was a moment between Wendy Rhoades (Maggie Siff) and Bobby Axelrod (Damian Lewis) and fans couldn't stop wondering whether it would soon blossom into a relationship. However, there seems to be a new play of cards this time around. Nico Tanner (Frank Grillo), the new artist in town, seems to have gone one step ahead to show how Wendy holds a special corner in his heart.
With a little help from Wendy, Nico is able to get his mind back on track and put his paintbrush to the canvas. And to say thank you, he called Wendy to show her his art and takes her to a charming corner where they behave like two little teenagers smitten in love. It's surprising that Wendy tagged along and made no secret of the fact that she doesn't mind his advances. The pair shared a kiss and that brings us to the big question: Do the two have a potential love story in the making or is it just another one of her casual affairs?
Well, it's not just Wendy who makes a move. Chuck Rhoades (Paul Giamatti) also seems to have found a new partner. The interest is from both sides, especially Catherine Brant (Julianne Margulies) who directly asked him if he likes "penetrative sex" and Chuck made his way to the bed without any kink or handcuffs. It seems like both, Chuck and Wendy, are moving on past divorce, that too with people at their workplaces.
Coming to think of it, can Wendy really date Nico as she is supposed to be his therapist, isn't she? But well, when has anyone has gone by the rules in ‘Billions’? Fans seem to like Wendy and Nico's pairing. "Wendy and Tanner is a relationship I'd pay top dollar to see. Riveting conversations from great conversationalists," one said and another posted, "Is Wendy looking to smash the artist? Can she? Isn't she his therapist? #Billions."
One viewer felt it will make Axe jealous. "Give the painter some more interesting character and let Wendy and him have something more to talk about! Axe will be jealous," the tweet read and another said, "Season 4 ended and it seemed like Wendy and Axe were gonna be a thing but they've barely had any scenes together since and Wendy is definitely gonna f**k the painter." One even went on to say, "Yeah. Wendy is definitely going to f**k Frank Grillo."
"Man. The f**king artist/painter got to f**k Wendy? My Wendy? WTF is Axe waiting for? #Billions," one fan wrote and another said, "Looks like Nico Tanner and Wendy are starting up more than just painting."
Not just that, fans are pretty thrilled to see Chuck's bedroom moves too. "Lol this woman flipped Chuck's sexual orientation. MAD," one said and another posted, "Chuck is making his own bedroom moves. And without the whips and gags #Billions." One fan shied away and wrote, "....I don't need to know this much about Chuck's sex life."
Some feel Brant is a little too perfect for Chuck. "Cat Brant is a little too perfect for Chuck?" and another fan said, "Wendy and Chuck both showing up to Seniors hospital room with their dates is....kind of hilarious. #Billions." As more episodes roll out from Season 5 of ‘Billions’, it will be interesting to see where these relationship curves go to. The series airs on Showtime every Sunday at 9 pm ET.
